    This is one of the best parks in the entire United States! I’m going to rent the whole place out for a few weeks or maybe a month, for my wedding and honeymoon.

    You forgot to mention for those staying in the hot springs overnight. The venue is au natural until opening at 10am. Glad to see they banned alcohol. Rodeo season was not much fun with drunken naked cowboys. There is a campground on the first left leaving the hot springs about a mile down. Don't park an the main road going up. It's all private property and they tend to be territorial. Again, go to Orvis. They let you stay in the parking lot. Rather deal with stoned hippy types than drunk cowboys.

      +Mark Jones hey great tips. I wish I included that. Im glad they banned alcohol but Im guessing by the way a few 20 somethings were acting they smuggled some in.

    This was SO helpful. Thanks! I plan on going there in October and from my minimal research didn't find out much information on their website. This is helpful...do you think some of your info has changed since Covid? I mean, tgey did update their website with mask wearing protocols. But it was helpful to hear from you that it is $15 cash for entry. I couldn't find that info anywhere else. But were you saying something about them requiring a day pass on the weekends, or do you think it is $15 on Saturdays too. I am not sure what day of the week I am going yet. I thought I read that it was a minimum of 2 hours you can visit..do you know anything about that? Also. When is the busy season would you say? Thank you!

    I went there in June of 1998. I loved it so much there. Well until I broke my ankle on the last day. Totally my own fault. They were so nice.

    I’m not a great swimmer, are the hot springs deep?

    • @sarahferris
      @sarahferris 4 года назад

      No..from my experience not deep. I have only bern to pagosa springs so far. I was in a man made ones at a resort and the natural ones along the river/boardwalk and edge of resort. They are like Jacuzzis/hot tubs only no chlorine. Natural healing mineral water.

    New sub to your channel. Cool hot springs you visited, thanks for sharing! If you travel to So CA, I'd be glad to recommend hot springs to visit or you're welcome to join our group if we've got a hot springs hiking/camping trip scheduled...

      +Hot Springs Nomad awesome, thank you. Question..what are your 2 favorite hotsprings in socal?

    • @dominiquebt
      @dominiquebt 8 лет назад

      That's a tough one. There's more than 30 commercial establishments of all sizes, prices and amenities here in the Palm Springs area. Depends on the experience I'm after. I recently bought my van to explore hot springs in more rustic settings & really enjoy one a 2-mile hike from Bowen Ranch (can also camp here). Several hot pools of varying temps and a cool stream running though the area. The Pacific Crest Trail (Canada to Mexico) passes through this same canyon and it's really cool to see the American flags marking the trail. Must be comfortable with nudity as there are lots of folks wearing birthday suits. Best to visit during the week to avoid the crowds.

      @Bayward  8 лет назад

      +Hot Springs Nomad congratulations on the van puchase, I know I really enjoyed the van for staying near hotsprings to be there warly in the morning before the crowds arrive. If i plan a trip down south I'll look you up for good info.
