Just following up six years later, these are still working great for my home owner use, on the original blade. When cutting old pvc you have to cut slowly or it will crack the brittle pipe. New pipe is no problem.
They work good if you don't want tp clean up shavings. They don't work well on cold PVC and the blades don't last to long. So replacement blades are a must. I haven't had experience with this particular brand but it looks and functions the same as a husky which i have. I like them.
nice. I always stop and look at these and lowes. since they look so plain compared to the other brands, it always felt they were probably junk. though I have noticed the employees using this brand themselves.
I used it on the 2 inch pipe for my tub drain and it cut fine but the quality of pvc pipe may differ area to area. Luckily all the big box home improvement stores have super relaxed return policies.
@@striker1211 Wow! I even tried thinner pipe and it would only crush it. Also bought a new blade thinking I had a bad blade and still no luck. I watched other review videos and it didn’t work for them either. You must have some really thin PVC.
@@striker1211 I saw your comment about rotating pipe. Is that how you got it to work? My problem with that is ... I could barely get the first cut. It would just crush it before making a cut at all

I bought some for pool plumbing (1 1/2), it cracked my pipe a few too many times. I went back to using my DeWalt reciprocating saw.
Thank you! I couldn’t figure out to open! No where on the directions does it say pull. Thank you!

Yeah it's one of the best tool purchases I've ever made. Nice straight cuts and like you said no mess.

Tried it with 2 inch pipe. Doesn’t work. Took it back.

your susposed to squeeze and rotate the pipe squeeze and rotate squeeze an rotate, not just chomp through the whole pipe at one time.
Thanks for the tip I'll have to try that next time.
Normal Cutter not that big can't cut 2in or 11/2in
