Hey Flinter. Not sure if you were aware but there is a setting to disable the screen blurring and color shift that happens when using hunter sense. I know in the past you have mentioned it bothers you and I noticed you still had it on today
Man the new map looks A1! I really hope they had recurve/longbows and some decent handguns! Like a 44 mag, 1911 in 10mm or 460 Rowland, 500 smith… just good solid hunting/bear defense guns
If the sika deer models where a little more accurate they'd be the best representation of them irl they are super vocal the calls in game are spot on here in Scotland in the rut they go crazy bugling
When you get your vehicle or side-by-side, go and follow the road and go to the right, go up all the way to the right you’ll see where there’s some rivers and some small lakes that’s where you’re gonna find a lot of animals
Right before I decided to go to the new map did a hunt on tikamoon and got a 500 score kudu with the 350. So I feel that was a good way to say bye to a map for a while

@@thelonewolf_nz7640 Eh, perhaps, but not quite what one might expect from a NZ map. NZ is a gorgeous place and COTW doesn’t do it justice, in my opinion. Quick Google searches of hunting reserves in NZ (especially on the South Island), plus plenty of videos of filmed hunts in NZ show what I imagine NZ hunting looks like, which WOTH seems to have captured well
Hey I have a question to ya'll. Do the animals you shoot drop immediately often? Ive been playing the game for a few days now. And almost none of my shots result in an instant drop on the animal. Although my hits are always double lungs. Using a tier 5 gun on tier 5 deers, and my shots are never further than 300 Meters(/ab 400 ft ig?) away. Does this have anything to do with the diffuculty setting or anything? Like in Call of the Wild everything just drops right where it stands, but Ive only managed to get that with heart and brain shots for now. Double lungs only gives em medium bleed and a tracking sess of like 100 Meters. Hope someone can help me figure out if this is supposed to be this way, or if this is on me. :(
Difficulty doesn't affect how much health an animal has. Double lung doesn't always down an animal instantly, but it all comes down to your aim, and your impact energy. Heart or spine shots will almost always be instant. Google "Way of the Hunter Toolbox" for a neat visualization of the impact energy of all guns on all animals.
@the.mr.schrader yes but they are genetically dissimilar, which is my point. I guess it's not inaccurate to say that they're the same species, but it's somewhat misleading as wild boar and feral pigs don't always necessarily share genetic similarities. There was a lot of cross-breeding between different boar sub-species too, in the domestication process.

I got a 100% red deer with a score of 499.9 on the new map. I’m 99% sure it’s the same one from the story. Thing was beautiful
The Tahr definitely look better up close than I thought they did in the first trailer. Definitely going to be my main target on this map

The sitka deer I hunted didn't bugle, but the cows/does made a higher pitched cow elk calls

There's a meat eaters episode where they hunt Sika on the east coast. I believe I heard that roar in the episode but I may be wrong.

Feral Pigs and Wild Boars are actually the same species of animal. The main difference is that Feral Pigs are descended from Wild Boars.
Feral pigs are domesticated pigs that have become feral after escaping domestication. Wild implicates that the species was never domesticated.
