I have a Kawasaki W650, and from time to time I can’t help but think about these bikes. But when I see all those electronic things, and no kick start, I cool my jets.
While you’ve got the headlamp bowl out, run a jump wire from the clutch switch wire to a nearby earth. Saves all the mucking about with the clutch when you’re starting it. I prefer to be able to start a bike one-handed so I don’t have to put the helmet and gloves down on the floor.
@@vroomroom1 No worries. I think it’s a black wire with a red/orange tracer, but the wiring diagram will show it. Comes in the bundle from the left hand switchgear, of course. I usually bypass at the switch, but I couldn’t find a way to separate it on the Bonnie. I know some will disagree, but I find the clutch interlock the most useless ‘safety’ feature I’ve ever seen. Good luck with the bike. Replacing the panels & rear light won’t be cheap, but the rest is pretty much cosmetic. It’s actually a nice looking bike.
@@vroomroom1ah, didn’t realise it was limited edition. Will you go as far as fixing and painting the tank? Looks a nice bike underneath it all Jay. Mega low miles. Looks like a keeper!! Loving the videos by the way, good to see the views are building too, thanks.
It's a nice bike shame the previous owner / owners didn't look after it a bit better. I've got a RE Meteor 350, and mine is my pride and joy. I guess for some people, a bike is just for what it's intended, getting from A to B. I wouldn't say it needs a lot of work, it's mostly cosmetic stuff really which if you have the know how are easy to fix.
wemoto is a good source for bits got a brake lever for my T120 far cheaper good quality and quick turnaround ;as someone else pointed out the plug near the battery is the OBD2 port i use dealer tool software on my computer to check my bikes diagnostics servicing and resetting my service indicator the software paid for itself fist service ,good luck
Thoroughly enjoyed this and can’t wait to see more.
It's not that rough. all cosmedic. The plug is the OBD2 port.
Obd 11 port !!!
Was Freddie Dobbs the previous owner.😂
No nothing about bikes can’t ride one..but I can see why people love them..this is a beautiful machine!
I think that loose plug under the seat is the diagnostic plug and should plug into a blank under the seat.
Excellent, thanks for the help 👍
Hi Jay, this looks more like it! Hope it is all going well.
Hi Woody, thanks mate, been watching your videos, loving the effects in the editing 👍
Amazing how some scroats can wreck someone's pride n joy in minutes......yet hours and days spent getting it running, well done ....
Thank you mate 👍

It needs a fair bit or work, it all depends how much you paid for it whether it's a bargain or not.

Great advice, will do that 👍

Just to add, as others have said, the empty plug is the OBD2 port, and it’s meant to dangle free under the seat like that.
Pretty easy project for stolen recovered.. Ive fixed worse ones 😊
Sounded sweet didn’t it. Hopefully this is mostly cosmetic. It means finding parts and spending money but you’ll deffo pull this off. Cheers Jay
Thanks, does sound good. Being a limited edition parts are a bit more hard to find but hopefully it will be okay 👍

Thanks Richard, some excellent advice there 👍 will check out wemoto, have used them before and they were very good.
stolen recovered , boughtfrom 4 th Dimension , watched this bike myself , biddingwenr far to high for a Cat N ,
Yep, that's the one, hopefully there's still a bit of profit in it, will have to wait and see 👍
looks stolen/recovered to me. Why did you buy it? Was it the right money?
Absolutely right with stolen recovered was cheap enough to hopefully repair and still make a small profit 👍
@@vroomroom1 I'd love a project like that, have fun.😄
Hopefully still a small profit in it. Will have to wait and see, being a special edition doesn't help lol
I’ve got some parts for a T100 if you are interested.
Thanks David, I have ordered quite a bit but will still need more, away ATM but might drop you a message when I get back.
OBD Diagnostic plug 😂
When you know, you know lol
