I am switching to Red Sea Coral Pro for the same reason. My mixing container looks very similar to yours. I did a comparison between Reef Crystals, Tropic Marin Pro reef, Seachem Reef Salt, and Red Sea Coral Pro. Only RSCP was as advertised the rest were low in alkalinity, or magnesium, or both. All salts were tested at 78F in the same container mixed with the same pump and RODI water with 0 TDS. Reef Crystals and Tropic Marin Pro Reef left a brown residue and Seachem Reef Salt mixed cloudy and took a while to clear. Red Sea Coral Pro cleared up right away. Here are the results.
    Tropic Marin Pro Reef
    Mg 1350
    Ca 470
    Alk 6.6 dKH
    Seachem Reef Salt
    Mg 1200
    Ca 527
    Alk 10.47 dKH
    Reef Crystals
    Mg 1080
    Ca 450
    Alk 8 dKH
    Red Sea Coral Pro
    Mg 1470
    Ca 480
    Alk 12.32 dKH

+pablomay28 very cool indeed! What was your salinty/specific gravity set to? I will be interested to see how my results compare to yours. Thanks for the info - much appreciated!

+hawaiifavo Brother I just ordered 4 boxes of HW Marine for $54 a box at BRS. They have a door buster special today. I know I had said I was going to go to Red Sea Coral Pro but at $0.34 a gallon compared to $0.43 a gallon I had to jump on it. Got salt for more than a year.

You should be rinsing buckets and drying. As well as heaters and pumps for mixing. Rinse with prime and dry thoroughly. Tanks are work. I firmly believe that extra cleaning will work great for you. I don't get that. 210 been up and running for 17 years. A few minutes cleaning will save you hundreds and tons if time. Also buckets after cleaning should be air dried in sun. The sun is a amazing sterilizer. ❤❤❤❤

Great move reef crystals sucks sorry I've only used Red Sea salt and after setting up a QT I wanted to use a cheaper salt and the price was way cheaper but it sucks it takes a long time to mix and dose not clear up that good so good change
