One thing I wish others would do more often is actually test the "water resistance" during these reviews. I have the smaller 27L version of this bag and the top pocket does NOT protect against downpours because the zip doesnt close all the way, so please be mindful of this.
perfect bag for a weekend travel
So happy I watched this review! You have taught me to look for on any 35+ Liter travel backpack; Load Lifters, and Hip Belts. And for $250, I would’ve expected Yeti to include these as well as better Backpack strapping.
Thanks for watching!
- Austin
Thanks for this very thorough and in-depth review. I saw all I needed to know!!
Thanks for watching! 😃

What are your recommended alternatives to the Yeti 35L?
Try dakine 36l they know backpack and are top notch greater quality and their backpacks look legit, their top of the line are the poacher and poacher RAS, ranger travel packs and team mission pro bags. Also Roark backpacks, Black Diamond backpacks, Ortovox, Osprey, and even north face is better.
This is an *excellent* review! You go over the product quickly but thoroughly, and I appreciate how you paid as much attention to its faults as you did to its successes. Next time I need some input on travel gear, I'll definitely be back!
Thank you for your kind words! We try to be thorough 😃 we look forward to hearing from you again!

Thanks for this video. Was going to buy one for the ridiculous price they ask for it. This video changed my mind. Looks cheap
What did you get instead?
I'd like to know too
Want this bag to carry on a plane when you "are not allowed a carry-on in overhead. Looks like this bag is close to the max. Bag External dims: 13.0"W x 8.0"D x 20.0"H; Some carries allow under seat bag: 22 x 14 x 9 inches, but others 18 x 14 x 8 inches. It looks like if you can crunch it down then it would be fine to carry on.
Hey great review. I was wondering if when you have the compression straps across the front can this bag carry a snowboard. Is there enough distance between the eyelets for a snowboard width.
Are these carry on size or would you have to check this for a flight?
It depends on the airline! Check out our carry-on compliance feature on each page of our website.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I like how you had two persons showing the backpack on their back. I just got delivered a 20L peak design backpack, only to find out it's too small...haha I wish i had seen the bag on someone's back and i would have known it was too small.
Thanks for sharing, Jassie! Hope you find one that fits!

Can we get an updated review on the new model?
How're the laptop straps holding up?
Just so you all know once you order online you have a 1 hour window time to cancel your purchase. Didn’t realize it would be such a pain to get access to the main area. Should’ve got the smaller one 😣
Oh well, no going back now still a solid bag.
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
-Eric
Useful video!! I was wondering; What Yeti say about the Yeti Patch??
My new idea make back pack for fishing and with fishing rod holders carry all in one yes
Hey guys, could you please do a review of the 27? Thanks
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
So the water bottle eats into the main compartment and is open on top so to leak into it 🤔
Are you guys testing the 27 liter backpack they made??
Hey Andrew, so far we've only had our hands on the Crossroads 35L and 22L. We'll drop the links below.

The two black backpacks on left column pegs (your right) beginning of video, which bags are those?
Would this be easy to store under an airline seat as a personal item?
It depends on the airline, but it’s a bit large for use as a personal item! Thanks for watching, Brady.
-Eric
No not if it packed to the max
Can u take 25l plastic oil thumb and put it the backpack. Isi not 35l backpack. Or if u get it 30 bottle off water 1 litre hide this backpack i will belive u is 35l
Yes
It is to small I’m a larger man in size and I have a hard time putting it on my back
Thinking of getting this. I have the tocayo
You’ll have to let us know how you like it if you get it 🧐
-Eric
What is the small flask object attached to your shoulder strap?
He mentioned it was hand sanitizer
What size laptop is that in the video?
15" MacBook Pro!
- Tom
hey can you review the bellroy folio mini wallet ?
My jaw his the floor when I saw the price and weight. In a bad way!
Why .. have you seen how much other bags cost ? I just got a Refugio 30l… sucks.
I n fact it sucks so bad I’m still looking for bags a week later
Yeti should really stick to making ramblers and such not backpacks!
$250.....not impressed. Yeti is asking a lot of money....in return, your not getting much. Great coolers and cups but...their selling their logo and a "perceived" lifestyle...and laughing all the way to the bank. Check Cannae out for packs and bags. Durable, versatile and reasonably priced
I appreciate the video but dislike you reviewing it when it’s covered in filth. And the fact that the entire video is so bright and blown out. This seems like it was hastily recorded.
With that said, the bag itself seem very similar to Peak Designs travel pack. Which I liked but didn’t enjoy how huge it was.
We’re sorry you don’t like how it looks in the review! We try to showcase how gear will look once you’ve used it, not in perfect brand new condition. You’re feedback has been noted 📝
-Eric
I wouldn’t and never have bought a OVER PRICED yeti product.
