Love love LOVE this formula. Love ALL your cards!! You got me loving gold on my cards. Thank you so much I know your work as soon as I spot it!! Gorgeousness!!!!
Love this card! Such a pretty color combination! I love all the gold accents and also wish I had a lot more of the Spellbinders dies. They are the best on the market but also really expensive!
All of your videos are fantastic, but this one was especially fantastic :) I'd love to see more videos like this. Thank you for all of your hard work in putting these together for us!
Love your style; love your videos; love this design element...thanks for sharing! I have a hard time with CAS cards, but this formula looks very elegant!
Yes!!! It's a perfect cardmaking formula which works for me, too. I have to admit I borrowed your formula to create my own sometimes. ;) Thank you for the inspiration. Love your video as always.
My formula for CAS is as much empty space as possible, minimal layers and embellishments. rule of three if possible, that's it. love your cards the frames are a great idea, I only have basic shapes dies
Love this video! It makes making beautiful cards simpler! Can you do a video about which are your favourite spellbinders dies? There are so many to choose from and so hard to decide what to buy!!
thank you! I do plan to make a video similar to what you have in mind, but I fear it will be forever long :D My current favorites are a few from the Art Deco line (if you like that style), I'd also suggest to get Matting Basics dies (for what ever size cards you make most, they have A2, 5x7 and 6x6) - if you don't have similar from someone else of course. Also basic shapes like circles, ovals. I find I use these all them time, they are fabulous for layering. I can also suggesting going to this website here www.spellbinders.com.ua/?page_id=99 (this is a Ukrainian spellbinders, I run it). There are a lot of card examples and you can search by the die number (at the bottom), there aren't all die numbers there, but there is a lot (from me and a few other ladies in Ukraine).
I was searching for this cardstock everywhere but it's really hard to get, especially in gold color :( So I use frame stamps with gold embossing powder, or recycle this cardstock from some packaging. Your formula is great - sometimes I use similar too :) Thanks for the video :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I have been looking for something like this for ages as I am not very good at creating original layouts and your ideas are just what I needed. Maybe you can start a course in the Altenew Academy just for card layouts? Thanks again for sharing this.
Beautiful card! I love your formula! I will definitely be trying it! Also... A question for you... How do u pick colors for layering sets? Do u have any tips for that? I don't have any Altenew inks, which seem to take the guess work out of it... So I'm really struggling with picking colors for layering sets! Any tips? Thanks for sharing!
thank you! I have ink charts for all of my inks, that helps a great deal. I often test stamp flowers using various ink combos to see what works, what doesn't. You can check out this blog post - www.yanasmakula.com/?p=53606 I have a few combos, but all of these are using Altenew inks. If there's a stamp set I really like, but its not a flower, for example Fish from Hero Arts www.yanasmakula.com/?p=52566, I can even go ahead and test stamp images using all of my inks just to see what I like. That is a time consuming process, but I love it and in the end I have a bunch of color layering ideas. So for example I would stamp the base later about 20 times using one color of ink and the for second layer I would use 5 different colors, and than for the last layer I would use 20 different colors just to see what works and what doesn't. Its all about just playing with your inks and seeing what works and what you like.
that would be a fun option to try. You can definitely die cut the "minced" paper. Not sure if you've seen this video from Becca, but she does something similar - she uses Minc to add gold borders to die cuts ruclips.net/video/iAicoQBRt5Q/видео.html
Love love LOVE this formula. Love ALL your cards!! You got me loving gold on my cards. Thank you so much I know your work as soon as I spot it!! Gorgeousness!!!!

Beautiful, thanks for sharing your process!
I don't have a formula yet, but I can see how useful it would be to come up with one. I will use yours to start with.

do you think gold foil with minc will be nice enough like gold mirror paper?
that would be a fun option to try. You can definitely die cut the "minced" paper. Not sure if you've seen this video from Becca, but she does something similar - she uses Minc to add gold borders to die cuts ruclips.net/video/iAicoQBRt5Q/видео.html
