I to left the Catholic faith and went to a Baptist Church with music on preaching that I liked. I did fall in love with that, but then something entered my heart, and I realized it was the Eucharist that I missed so much I always felt myself very fortunate to have the Eucharist in my life. Daily attendance. was available for our hunger and still is. The gift we have of Jesus I cannot be spoken enough as a reality.. Christ is king over ALL. And also love again for Mary and the rosary. And many other truths I have overlooked. Love to all
Yes, to all of this, especially the part about not having our faith properly explained. I left the Catholic Church years ago because it felt like mindless rules and rituals. I started attending a non- denominational church where my thirst for Biblical knowledge was quenched and my soul uplifted with inspiring worship music. But soon, I felt empty, like something was missing and it was the Eucharist. But why was I missing a mere symbol of the Body and Blood of Christ? Because it wasn't just a symbol, it was truly Him, truly His presence in the breaking of the bread. Once I understood that, I was compelled to dive deeper and learn about all the other Sacraments, which just exploded into understanding the Rosary, the Divine Mercy, and so many other devotionals. The lives of the Saints called out to me, I wanted to know everything about the faith and thankfully this pandemic has given me a chance to make up for lost time. This lost sheep is lost no more, but I know there are so many others like me who left the church for the same reasons. We need to get them back. And I'm starting right within my own family. How blessed we are to be Catholics, how blessed to have the Sacrifice of the Mass everyday, how blessed to have Mother Mary protecting and guiding us, how blessed to have the Angels and Saints cheering us on towards Holiness and Sainthood. Our King has provided His servants treasures to numerous to count, and the gem that crowns them all is the Catholic faith! Amen 🥰🙏❤️ P.S. I owe an incalculable debt of gratitude to the spirit-led instructors of our faith like Bishop Barron, Fr. Mike Schmitz, Fr Chris Alar, Dr. Brant Petrie, and so many more modern day Prophets for a time such as this. May God bless and protect our religious leaders.

BRILLIANT. Bishop Barron - you are truly a living Saint of our Times. I will refer to you as Saint Bishop Barron. I love every single one of your talks. Please visit Australia some day. I am your biggest fan in Australia.
I needed to listen to this twice - once to absorb what Bishop was imparting to us and another time to take notes so I can develop a roadmap for my Advent journey. Another beautiful (and convicting) sermon. Thank you, Bishop Barron. And praise be to Christ the King!
Thank you again, Bishop Barron ! You always have a way to deliver a message in such a way that it's a pleasure learning your message. You make us want to learn more and more about our precious Faith. And you always include all of us, not just the community that you 're closely associated with. Thank you, Bishop Barron. Thank you our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I needed to listen to this.. felt like Jesus talking to me and it’s helped with my peace .. Thank you & may our good Lord & King bless you Bishop Barron ❤

I want to surrender everything to Jesus my Lord and God, King of all creations. May He have mercy and grace. Amen. God bless you our good Bishop and protect you.
Powerful Message Bishop Barron. Dad of 5, I love my kids, they all grew up loving Jesus and making rosaries with me. My wife passed in 2016 with lung cancer, but her spiritual life was always respected and well known by our children. An amazing legacy of love. Thank you for all you do Bishop Barron. I really enjoy all your teachings and insights.
*Bishop Barron: If we say anything other than "Christ is the King of the whole of my life," I'm horsing around with Christianity. I'm not living it properly.*
I picture, a very technical book in the library. Which I would like to read, but know I would not understand it. Father Barron (to me) reads that book for me, and explained it. Thank you Father for letting me understand more things 🙏
Dear Bishop Barron, these are the things we need to hear in every Parish! Dear Priests everywhere, your flock is hungry for hard hitting truth, substance, and meaning! Therefore, it is true, the harvest is ready! Do not fear. Here is one, a Bishop, to lead the way for you! He opens a path; opens a space for you! Thank you Bishop Barron. I will listen to this again and take notes to prepare for Christmas and every day, through Advent. Peace to you, and to all!
I lack temperance when it comes to food. I overeat. Sometimes I can feel overwhelmed by the high standard that we should live by. Good days bad days. It’s okay. As long as I keep on trying. The Lord knows my weaknesses. “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:16
I have 1 young child and would love more. Unfortunately, modern society does not support economically or socially, more than 2-3 kids per family. Historically, mothers have had the support nesscary for large families in the form of multi-generational homes, and tight-knit communities to help with day to day activities and childcare. Now, parents are expected to bear most of these duties alone with almost no breaks, at the cost of our physical, emotional and spiritual health. As long as we are called by Christ to have large families, maintain rich meaningful friendships, and keep our bodies and minds healthy, Catholic parishes should be providing frequent family oriented programs that offer reliable support to families who need emotional or physical help. This will lead us all closer to Christ ❤
Hi Bishop Robert Barron. Great video. I wish marriage was regarded as important again. It's so disposable and we have a Catholic priest and his front office turning a blind eye to these three family court attorney who profit from a corrupt system who donated to this Catholic church. I called them out on social media because they weren't making Christ first. I've gone to a different Catholic church instead.
To say what Saint Paul said, every Christian must give their lives a 360° turn. To live like like Christ is to renounce the World and its folies. To be like Christ is to refuse to sin 100%. To love like Christ is to suffer without complaining. How can anyone succeed at this? Through commitment and prayer, lots of prayer. I love big families, those families are loving, not perfect, but are full of love. The sexual life of a person cannot be a Hollywood movie or a to be on auction. Drugs and addiction are sons of the evil spirit, any addiction is the fruit of self-indulgence and lack of discernment. Faith is the firm belief in God. Jesus reveals Himself to anyone who loves Him.
I will use your homily today as an examination of conscience! I love to listen to your Sunday homilies as they nourish my faith! Thank you Bishop Barron 🙏
I choose Jesus, besides he already owns everything else. You can have my soul Jesus...my mind....my body ....my personal life. It's all yours Jesus. not my will but yours Jesus
Oh my goodness I think I need to listen to this every week--to be sure I am on track. What a strong sermon. Thank you so much Bishop Barron. God bless you always.
Thank you, Bishop Barron, for what you said about supporting democratic political systems while also affirming Christ as Lord of your life-Christ can be Lord of our lives even as we support democratic political systems. And for those following in parts of the world where there isn’t political freedom in the same way as here in America, they, also, can still affirm Christ as the Lord of their lives. May God be with you and all the folks at Word on Fire, may Christ the King be glorified in and through your work.

The feast of Christ the King is my favorite bc about 6 years ago… my “second conversion” really took steam with the help of a homily very similar to this one from Bishop Barron… I was on a road trip to Dallas, I think it was a Thursday and his podcast homily was posted the Wednesday before. Anyway, needless to say, I took it to heart… and it changed my life :) following that… it was a hard 3 years of pruning but that’s another story, lol! Thank the Lord for his goodness and mercy!
Such a difficult teaching for me (us) to hear, but then Jesus did say “Narrow is the way..” Bishop Barron is such a blessing; grateful to him for telling us like it is. Let’s pray for each other to truly live as Catholic Christians.
We need more shepherds like Bishop Barrens. Too many are luke warm in faith and it is so true that we have dumbed down our faith. I was brought up to offer things up for others especially the holy souls in purgatory. What I have found as I have aged is undoing so I’ve not only been comforted by angels, saints, the holy family and trinity but the holy souls have helped me through some serious times and brought me to joyful moments. I don’t think we even understand the word sacrifice or intercessory prayer at this time. We need help and grateful I found word on fire. Continued prayers for all bishops, priests and faithful.
I needed to hear this, Bishop... As much as I love our Lord and Savior, he unfortunately has not been the King of my life... Pray for me as I pray for you. God Bless
Just wanted to note that it's ALSO OK to have a small family if it's for wise reasons! It's just a question of "Am I being selfish?", "Am I following God?" and "What's my top concern?" Some families that are very unselfish, very loving and very generous and very focused on God are small.
