Thanks for the double feature!
Syoya had a really nice use for the head. One of his mocs had it flipped so the nose was pointing up and placed Chima Ultrabuild Fangar's jaw in the cavity where the brain goes to make mouth. Really creative.
Also love perilla's revamp. Always cool to see larger, more CCBS heavy builds. And that tiny Jet Rocka is adorable!

Dragonbolt was certainly a bit clunky, but a big ol lightning dragon with that cool special brain mold set it apart from other sets (to me at least)

I remember the only time I ever saw dragonbolt was in a lego club magazine that I still have.
They didn't have the brain, and yet still had a pointer thing talking about it.
For a very long time, I was always extremely confused, and thought that the yellow horns, or whatever they are, were the brain!

I don't know HERO Factory lore, but what makes this Dragon Bolt a villain? Is it just the brainslug that's taken him over, or is he also just a jerk?

When i was younger and first got dragon bolt, I took off his head because it looked like a t-rex, and so I made one. I'd play with it for hours reenacting scenes from jurassic park and documentries

Dragon Bolt was one of the memorable sets. I think mine is still in a WiP state. I was trying to combine Dragon Bolt and Surge and lost interest.

I think this set looks ugly af. Nothing nice visually about any part of it from the (probably more subjectively) ugly head to the barely covered hero factory limb pieces on the legs and tail. Really nice MOCs tho, especially that huge revamp of the original set.

It's really funny these look ugly to you, but people fawned over the Pirrhaka Bionicles because they had glowing teeth. Hero Factory altogether was ass, but at least they made cool sets. Dragons aren't supposed to look cool, they're supposed to look deadly and vicious. It's a giant reptilian predator that's been infected by an alien brain. Holy shit, "it's ugly" is the dumbest statement. So are you and your tastes

Honestly I agree with you but I think that might’ve been the goal. To have the dragon be ugly and horrific giving it the vibe of evil even though it has the heroic blue color. And the parts are just perfect for moc potential
