      Hi Kate, Sorry you're having trouble.
      Here are some links that might help you.
      This is a video that focuses only on the magic ring:
      ruclips.net/video/GVWqdFCU7Vk/видео.html
      If you are finding the magic ring is not the technique for you, you can try making double crochets into a ring. This video will show you how to do that:
      ruclips.net/video/jDMPTZLVBaY/видео.html
      I hope these help you. If you need more help, please feel free to ask

    Thank you for this! It has helped so much! You know in rounds 9-13 it wants me dc in each dc around (48) so do I need to do that 5 times? For round 10, 11, 12 etc or do I just do it once and go to round 14 xx

    • @GeorgeCrafts
      @GeorgeCrafts  4 года назад +2

      Hi Gemma, You need to do it once for round 9, once for round 10, once for 11, once for 12 (so five in total). You will often see this in patterns if you need to do the same thing over and over again. It just saves themrepeating themselves x

    • @GeorgeCrafts
      @GeorgeCrafts  4 года назад

      The wand is very fiddly. It is so small it makes it very difficult. There is not relly a way to do it differently.
      You can try making the stitches a bit looser or try not fully closing the magic circle until you have finished the wand

      Hi Freya,
      Is this your first crochet project? These are really hard kits for beginners and I really think they should have a skill level printed on the box for people to see before they buy them. A lot of people have bought these as their first project and hated them.
      I've written a blog post about this style of crochet with lots of videos and tips to help you finish your project. If you feel like having another go, take a look at the blog post below:

      Hi Tara,
      I have been looking for the pattern for this project all weekend. I have to confess it is one I started and then it got put down when I started making Christmas presents for everyone!
      I finally got my hands on the pattern again. I am not at teh point of sewing all my bits together yet but I will try and get all the head pieces and hair pieces together and I will make a video on how to do the hair. You are not the first person to ask me about the hair and I'm sure you won't be the last.
      I hope to have the video ready by some point next week.

    I'm not sure if I'm correct but you keep saying double crochet but then doing a single crochet. Isn't a double crochet when you have 3 loops on your hook, pull the wool through the first two then the last two?

    • @GeorgeCrafts
      @GeorgeCrafts  2 года назад +1

      Hi Ava, it depends whether you are using US or UK terminology. In the UK there is no such thing as a single crochet but if you are using US terminology this would be a single crochet. Most patterns will tell you if they are using UK or US terminology so don't worry about it too much
