I think having friends and loved ones to share experiences with help the elderly look forward to life. which i can tell even with my own parents. and if volunteering is daunting or you feel you do not have the time. it can start from home, just sharing abit about your day with your parents and listening to theirs can make the world of difference.
Actually, the language part can be quite intimidating, but it's really not such a big hurdle. So long as you know a few basic words, you'll be ok. Just let them know that you don't really know the dialect but that you'll try your best. On a separate note, can I just say that Hazelle looks absolutely fabulous today. I like the way she tied her hair up, so cute.
