We owned an Equus when they were introduced (traded in our BMW 750LI). Following the Equus, we purchased a 2017 Genesis G90. In fact, our son now owns our 2017 G90 and we took delivery of our 2023 G90 with the 409 hp. engine which is an absolute dream machine. We like Genesis products very much.

I just bought one. I traded in my Mercedes S550, and I love the G90 so far. I keep inventing reasons to go out and drive the car. Its a bigger car than the S550. It's more similar to a Rolls Royce or the bigger Bentley, than to a Benz S Class. In my area there are a lot of S Class Benzes, but very few G90s, and although the Genesis vehicles are becoming very popular, it's mostly the SUVs, so these are rare to see, and have great road presence. I love it!

I remember back in the mid 80s when Lexus first came out, people made fun of it saying “it’s a toyota!” I’m really impressed how far Hyundai has come and will go. When I worked Toyota corporate back in mid 90s Toyota management already was more worried about Hyundai as a competitor more than US or European competitors.

When the Lexus LS 400 was first launched in 1989, it was a game changer. The Germans were shocked. They were forced to step up their game. Now the Genius G-90 is the game changer that, hopefully , will cause Lexus to step up their game. Lexus must adapt, improvise, and innovate or get left further in the dust. Right now, the Genius G90 is very appealing.

Like buying a used Lexus, this Genesis is a car you can feel comfortable buying used without it becoming a money pit like the German cars will be after the lease has expired. When the Genesis was a Hyundai model, you see comments from owners who have huge mileage on them and still going strong. Their V-6 and V-8 engines have proved to be long lasting.

Genesis is a very nice brand. The car that you showed is beautiful the two things that I am not crazy about is the exterior styling and I have no idea on what these vehicles will be like as far as reliability and dependability because they’re pretty new in design and manufacturing , I’m going to stick with what is built in the Tahara factory in the Motomachi factory because reliability and dependability is the most important thing to me and I feel that the Japanese give me that and in my opinion I think they are the best in the world at manufacturing SUVs sedans, coops and trucks… 🇯🇵🌎❤️🤍Great job David….

The doors on this car take a few weeks to get used to, BUT, once you are used to the doors every other car feels lacking. Every car should have these doors, especially the feature to tap the brake and the driver door closes. The quality of the car and ride are unbelievable, and the 10yr 100k warranty is amazing (costs and extra 2,500), but what makes the G90 substantially better than every other luxury car on the market is the doors. Yes, it does look better than all the other luxury cars right now, but the thing that ruins every other car is when you get used to the doors. Every other car feels cheap after you get used to the G90.... well.. a Maybach is still better, but that is in a whole different class and requires a driver.

@1:19, David said Hyundai played around with the design and have a clamshell design for its hood. That way, the gap between the hood and the rest of the body is sort of tucks away and becomes less visible. So causal on looker has a false sense of higher quality in the vehicle manufacturing.
