    It always looks daunting at first but once you get started, you realise it is easier. Well done Trev. Good detailed walkthrough.

    Thanks. I’m trying to fit a DARCHE 180 to rhino racks by myself, and this video has been a great help. Cheers lads 👍 Love your work.

    You skipped the part where you installed the awning onto the roof rack.

    Need a complete review putting tent side also, M8 Rectangle bolts are the go

    Darche do not include channel bolts with the awning; they must be bought separately.

    Wouldnt it of been easier to bolt brackets to rack first,then mount the awning to the brackets and adjust the awning to desired spot before tightning the nyloc nuts?

      Hey Hillzy,,, we install a few here and not always people around to give me a hand. I like brackets first as I can at least hold it in place with a cable tie while I do the bolts up. :)

    At 4:48 the bracket is facing one way, and 5:11 it's the opposite. I'm about to install it with the brackets orientated the way you ultimately did as it seems to sit lower, but it's not what the Darche instructions say. Had any issues?

    Can it be installed on Thule T channel roof racks?

      I'm not familiar with Thule. However, if it's using T channel bolts, it should not be an issue.

    Hi mate, where do the T-bolts come from?

    • @DirtRoad4x4
      @DirtRoad4x4  10 месяцев назад

      I buy them through Tradesman Roofracks. However they are readily available.

      @@DirtRoad4x4 thanks. I have found 26mm ones, mounting on a Yakima platform. Do you think that would be long enough?
      Also, how much of the bolt sticks out above the bracket? Is it going to poke up into other things loaded on that part of the platform?

      @@DirtRoad4x4 ok cool. So.... I have a 1500 platform and I’m after an awning exactly like this in a smaller length. 1800max. As when fully extended still covers 3m all while suiting the length of my platform. With reduced weight also. If you guys have this product I’m in!

      @@darrenquinn2338 I'll have a look through our suppliers, however, I don't recall a similar size 270 that you need.

    Thanks for the video but the audio is horrendous! Echoey in the shed, better outside but then hard to listen to with the background music.
