If I ever want to bust out sobbing at 2 AM one night I watch this. And... Charles’s death isn’t even the worst thing. The fact that both him *and* Henry know he won’t make it out is apparent, and Charles knows that he has a limited time to talk to his pal. It hurts my heart even more when you think that Henry has to deal with the guilt, blaming himself for Charles going out of his way to push him back in the pod.
TL;DR sad times all around. Sorry if I was ranting on like the inner Charles I am.

Henry's POV
Henry smiled, knowing he'd go home and he wouldn't have to worry, he'd be happy, his *friend* would be happy. That's all he wanted, his friend to be happy. But he was pulled out of the pod only to be pushed back in by Charles. The door closed and he looked at Charles through the window.
``Don't worry about it, I'll find another way`` Charles said and smiled his smile. The pod flew off and he waited for the anther pod.
Charles's POV
He fought the toppat, he looked at the limp body on the ground, before 'calling' (Dunno what to call it-) Henry. ``H-Henry? You there? Ah man, that roughed me up. Got 'em though. Gotta be another escape pod somewhere`` He lied. He knew he'd die, but he didn't care. Henry was alive, and that's what mattered.
``We did it though, we got em. Was a pretty good plan.`` His smile faded. ``Could say-`` He'd begin to cry. He knew Henry didn't want him to die, but he had to. The tide of fate cannot be stopped. ``-it was the greate-`` Just like that, it all exploded. He'd smile knowing his sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.
Henry's POV
It exploded. ``CHARLES!`` He screamed with all his might desperation filling his voice. Charles was dead. He felt tears well in his eyes. It was *HIS* fault. If he never committed the stupid crime- Charles would be alive! ``IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! HE'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!`` The voices would yell. He fell to the floor crying. He had nobody, what was life worth now? What's the point? He was *alone.* Charles was dead. He was all he had to live for. [H a - I sound like a shipper OvO] So why live?
He arrived at earth and when the general was informed the toppat station was destroyed the tears came back. It was done, but at such a horrible cost. His best friend, Charles, or A Valiant Hero. ``What's wrong?`` The general said. Henry looked at the general. ``Charles is dead, a toppat attacked and- and-`` He paused. ``and he sacrificed himself..`` More tears streamed down his face. ``He was such A Valiant Hero...``
Some time later
Henry's POV
He looked at the gravestone. On it lied Charles's spare headset. He stared at the headset for a moment then set down the flowers. ``I'm sorry...`` He mumbled before saluting the grave. He stayed there for awhile. Again tearing up he headed back.

He found himself in le epikk space. He had blinked a few times. ``B-but... I should be dead- the toppat station.. it exploded with me inside it`` He looked around confusion filling his head. ``Is this the afterlife?`` He looked at his arm. ``But, I don't look translucent.`` He mumbled.
Henry's POV
He'd sit in his house because I said so. He still couldn't get over the fact that Charles was dead. It just... seemed impossible. He'd always survived crashing his helicopter, but that was a crash. He was most likely to die anyway, if not from the explosion then from hitting something. But, he still couldn't get over it. His best friend, dead. It wasn't right. It didn't feel right, at all.
He sighed and grabbed le phone. He began scrolling through his photos. ``...`` He looked at a photo of him and charles. ``I'm so sorry..`` He mumbled.
Charles's POV
He'd blink and shrug. ``Meh, it's fine :>`` He'd then shoot up finding himself in an unfamiliar place. ``..?`` He'd look around. ``...`` He felt a little nervous, before realising he had le cyborg arm. [Idea from: www.deviantart.com/aquagd/art/HS-Cyborg-Charles-852750583 But I'mma say buh-bye to the cyborg body, he can have his normal body :>] ``W-wha..?`` Someone entered ``Your awake!``

"H-Henry? You there" Henry could hear Charles's tired voice through the earpiece. Henry nodded in confirmation, but then quickly realised that Charles couldn't see him, so he took a shaky breath.
"Yeah buddy, till the end," Henry said. Tears welled up in his eyes as he said them, he couldn't let his best friend hear him break down. He had to be strong. Charles sighed in relief.
"Man, that roughed me up" Charles sighed again, looking down at the unconscious body of the toppat he fought. "Got him though" He smiled, Charles was always the optimistic one and the one who made the jokes, and he felt as if it was his job to lighten the mood. He looked around,
"Gotta be another escape pod here somewhere" he checked all around him, none. He let out a shaky breath.
"We did it though, we got 'em...pretty good plan...could say it was the greate-" The core of the ship exploded, causing a chain reaction of explosions, soon reaching the escape pod room. Charles closed his eyes as he saw the flames come near him and saw that he couldn't finish his sentence. He didn't care that he died now, all he needed to know to die in peace was that Henry was safe, and the mission was completed.
As Henry saw the ship explode, he screamed, he put everything he had in that scream, then he punched the broken glass, the glass cracked more, and Henry punched it much more tenderly. He couldn't let the tears in anymore, he let them slip down his face and onto the floor of the escape pod. Charles was dead, and it was his fault, everything that happened was his fault, ever since he tried to rob the bank, his choices led up to Charles dying. If he was never a criminal to begin with, this never would've happened. it was HIS FAULT.
Henry rested his head against a wall as the escape pod descended into the earth's atmosphere. He passed out sometime during the fall, but when he woke up, he was in the infirmary at a military camp. He burst out crying again, not being able to get over the death of Charles.
Once he was summoned to the general's tent escorted by a lieutenant, he told them the whole story, and they made a grave on the edge of the hill, right where Charles would've wanted it to be. They took a spare headset Charles kept in his tent and placed it on the gravestone, on the stone, it read: RIP Charles Calvin 1992-2020. Our youngest and most experienced pilot.
Henry stayed there, saluting the grave until the sun set behind it, after all, Charles did deserve it, he was the valiant hero.

@@SquashStaniel still it was just minimal as you compare to what the other characters said. some said nothing, but still really minimal in my opinion. Henry almost never talked around ellie or charles. so like, It would be so fucking dramatic, sad and also brining shock to people after they heard his voice, but i got the ending today, and i broke down crying like Charles is one of my favorite characters and him dying, man, i got a lot of the emotional hurts seeing it.

So Valiant hero ending charles never dies his headphones dropped out and thats why you can see it on the tombstone (because it feel out from the sky) and Charles always has a backup plan because he is the bold action man. (He probably used another vehicle from the goverment to survive ) he then tries to drive to henry but fauled by getting hit by a piece of the spaceship and brobably hit the skeld. (which is a space ship from among us..) and he got his helmet and went into the space ship to go inside and see that there was the teleporter inside the trash (storage task: emptying trash) but a crewmate came and emptied it out and the teleporter hit a planet... fast forward to the part where charles comes in...He changes nevigation and locks it.....and then goes to Polus where the teleporter is and goes to earth or did he?

Henry is 28 years old as of “BtB”. Charles is the same age as Henry.
In CtM, some endings result in the return of Gadget Gabe, where his machine(s) say(s) “-Gadget Gabe, 2018
If BtB takes place in 2008, and CtM takes place in 2018, then Henry must’ve been 38, and Charles must’ve been the same age when he died.

Actually its worst if you get it as your last ending, because then you don't have anything to wash it down with.
I got it as my second last. my sister already knew of the ending, and she watched me complete it. Little did she know I have a reflex that helps me predict things, cause I ended up knowing he was going to die by my sister's expression. Still hurt me though.

So Valiant hero ending charles never dies his headphones dropped out and thats why you can see it on the tombstone (because it feel out from the sky) and Charles always has a backup plan because he is the bold action man. (He probably used another vehicle from the goverment to survive ) he then tries to drive to henry but fauled by getting hit by a piece of the spaceship and brobably hit the skeld. (which is a space ship from among us..) and he got his helmet and went into the space ship to go inside and see that there was the teleporter inside the trash (storage task: emptying trash) but a crewmate came and emptied it out and the teleporter hit a planet... fast forward to the part where charles comes in...He changes nevigation and locks it.....and then goes to Polus where the teleporter is and goes to earth or did he?

“Man, that roughed me up... g-got him though. Gotta be another escape pod around her somewhere..”
Henry felt his hand bring up to his mouth.
There wasn’t an escape pod left. They wouldn’t have risked a cracked window.
“..we did it, though.. we got them.” Charles winced. “Pretty good plan.”
Henry began to tear up, as well as Charles, whom had began to ignite a lighter.
“Could even say..”
Charles hurled the lighter towards the broken core, knowing it would quicken the explosion and keep him from waiting.
“It was the greatest-“
The station’s explosion could not be heard in the vacuum of space, nor could Henry’s sobs and wails be heard outside of the escape pod.
He began to do something he has never done in his life.
He swore. Hurling his fists at the hollow door, screaming at Charles, cursing god himself in vain.
“CHARLES! NO! YOU DUMBASS, YOU COULD’VE- NO! NO! GOD DAMNIT, NO!”
He let out another sob, collapsing. “Ch-Charles..”
He suddenly sat upright. His eyes were leaking tears, his breath was shaky. He could hear his TV blaring in the other room. He shakily walked out. Ellie and Charles were on the couch. He quietly sat down.
“..another nightmare, Henry?” Ellie asked. Henry nodded, staring at Charles. What a Valiant Hero.
