I literally have like every Temu saltwater item lol I love it I have hooked 30”-34” stripe bass with $1.98 lures it’s insane to me. I have a 60lb braided and used it all summer with no issues. Some hooks are not the best but for the price they do the job. Also have the multi color reel 4000 and it’s amazing. Took off my shimano and put it away for a bit. For the price I have had the reel going for 2 years so far. This year oiled it a little and feels like new. Temu is the real goat.
Anyone else notice that the reel was listed as 7.2:1 ratio but what came was 6.3:1 ratio

Just a little info. Usually those multi colored braids actually change color every 10ft or yards so u can actually tell how much line you have out at any given time

Love the videos lojo! You kill me with the in line spinners though… just straight retrieve! A change in speed can be helpful, but every time you pop it it’s spinner looses its momentum and it doesn’t function properly. Just straight retrieve and you’ll feel the slight resistance from the blade and as long as you feel that resistance you’ll know the bait’s functioning properly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've been using one of the more expensive sougiyalang rods and I almost only use their reels and baitcasters for over a year and I have no complaints. They make some of the best budget stuff out there... even if their designs are suspiciously close to more well know brands
I think line color matters if you are native trout fishing. Even when you are fly fishing you have a lead of some crystal clear. They are clever fish. But other species line color doesn’t seem to be an issue

The soft plastic in question is meant to represent a sculpin. Would be a killer little soft plastic on some of our western rivers.

I use spinners a lot for perch and pike, and a thing I realized is that you make all sorts of motions, which is not the best way to use an inline spinner. A good spinner like a Mepps Agila, just needs a consistent, but slow retrieve. No stops, twitches or anything of the sort, just a slow and steady retrieve. The blades are not designed to work well with twitches, so that might be why you're not a fan?

lojofishing here is a Temu challenge for you. Find the Darkwolf Ultra and a bfs rod for it. And use nothing but bfs bass tackle. If you were using bfs gear during this video you would’ve gotten tons more bits. Imagine catching a four pound bass on a light rod. But the line you need is 2 pound diameter braid 10 pound test. If you want to know more about BFS talk to 1Rod1Reel he knows about that style of fishing.

Just a note to sougayilang rods though, Be careful of the plastic parts as they tend to be made from brittle and cheaper plastics. I have bought several of rods and some do just crack or snap overtime from just the reel fitting itself from the pressure. Then for their reels saltwater or even freshwater is its worse enemy. It will rust faster than most reels even if its oiled/vaselined/greased.

For the braid/line thing I think personally it just depends on the water Clarity, for clear water but sometimes mucky I would throw mono but otherwise braid.
I think that this is an amazing video, a little tip i think you should strike to set the hook a little less hard but other then that it was an amazing video
I like the videos, and I've been using the template lures. When your looking at the pictures of the lures, it will tell you how long they are and what they weigh.....just have to be careful.....Love your videos and thanks for your service!!!!
Maybe i’m a trash bass fisherman but in-line spinners are my fallback when I can’t get anything big to bite my big lures. I can usually always get some decent pan fish or spotties to hit one. Banking this summer I’ve caught more bass on 1/4oz rooster tails than anything - Lake Lanier
I snap off at the knot when i tie directly to the lure. I do a 24ish inch leader 20-50 lb mono for salt water fish and it holds
You should use the big cup holder on the tailgate for your spool of line.

I use yello line and bass will somtimes Follow the line before the see the line
You'll need a leader for those cheap lines. The only way to prevent a break off on the set.

I got this kit for free by inviting a ton of people that hate me now. But i got a free kit that i will likely use my own line with. Will be back with results in a few days. Looks promising to give the usual Abu Garcia Vengeance baitcaster set up i use some time off.

Anybody else just have crazy days and just wanna tell people that might appreciate it? Today may have been my weirdest day fishing in my entire life.. I'm 36 years old.. started fishing at 6, and I've never had a day like today...
First, I had to grind for 7 hours to catch 5 trout in one of my favorite lakes.. the last time I fished there I got my limit in under an hour.. same spot.. had to change up my combos.. nothing was working.. i was probably 3 hours in without so much as a nibble..
During that time, I got bored and was practicing with my baitcaster.. it's been a minute because I amputated the tip of my finger, winter cold made my finger hurt too bad to fish, and all my fishing stuff was stolen right before spring bass season and I finally replaced minimal stuff just in time for my transmission to go out in my truck.. oh yeah.. my favorite spot get shut down thanks to tweakers doing tweaker things... anyway, I haven't been able to fish in months, so I'm out practicing with it while I've got my trout set up just kinda chillin.. suddenly I caught a fish on the trout set up so I had to drop my baitcaster and land the fish.. next cast with the caster caught my biggest trout of the day on a fairly large segmented swim bait.. not crazy, but more than 4 inches.. considering the trout was about 13.5, it's a big damn swim bait..
But the craziest part of the day was when I had 4 fish, waiting for that last one to bite, and 3 otter followed my lure in.. they start playing on the log right in front of me.. another otter comes out of nowhere and joins his friends.. suddenly a giant eagle comes out of nowhere and scoops a fish that I'm pretty sure was distracted by my bait I had set out.. now Im distracted, and I throw the same segmented swim bait right over the 4 otter that are swimming away.. over shot them by maybe 5 feet.. and one of them grabs my bait and I drag him half way to the bank before he finally lets go..
I've had some weird days.. but today was just weird as fuck...
Deffently I actually bout a bait caster on temu and I love it it's not the sougayilang brand so it's touch better lol
The gold soft fish like bait imitates a sculpins fish. I've tied flies that represent the sculpin.
The exact reason why I do not tie braid directly to lure. Always use a leader whether it be mono or fluorocarbon.
From my recliner it appears your mono was breaking. I have a similar setup longer pole reel is black ad purple, 80 lbs temu braid.,huge striped bass no breaking lines bad knots.
Just get some lures and see what you can put them throw..keep going iv been look at some of the fishing stuff. I have a go pro camra coming im going to check out when i get it
Yeah I've bought line from temu don't recommend it broke on me several times but the baitcaster I bought from there was only 5 bucks and it works amazingly well.

I've used these black and gold fleck curly tail grubs on a dart .... Because it's hot here in Delaware and nothing was biting on googan stuff or other stuff normally used ..... But bass sunny bluegill every thing ate it smaller bait for hot days I guess

I dont fish (yet) but i really dont get why ppl sometimes spend so much money on fishing gear. People throw gag lures into water and still catch fish, and honestly how much difference does an expensive rod and reel make??? Will a $30 rod/reel using the same lure NOT catch the same fish a $300 setup does? Is there really that much of difference to warrant spending the money?

What knot did you tie a Palomar knot or a clinch knot, cuz with braids you only use Palomar knots with clenched knot it slides off if that's what you used

I use to own one of those reels, for your love of fishing, I don't recommend it. It has a gap in the reel where the line constantly gets caught on and it ended up breaking this reel for me on the third cast
