With low level BASE jumps, they simply throw the drogue, rather than use a rip cord since they only actually have time to free fall for seconds.

Technically yeah team lead is designated but it's not guaranteed someone higher ranking is around. As typically as you go through rooms the order is going to change. They might have a preferred spot to start in but alot of times it just don't work that way. Also trained or not being point man voluntarily is still brave. Training doesn't make stuff less brave lmao. Point man isn't a "might die" it's a "most likely will die" position in an activity that is already extremely dangerous
I used to watch lotta them leviathan network guys but they make TVs content to commercial ratio look good and I'm too lazy to install plugins to fix it. Fpsrussia wasn't perfect but they at least used the content to market products, instead of a raid shadow legends ad read before a video of a guy dying.
I cliff dive and so I will say unless you are doing over 70ft you do not need to do surface tension bla bla bla or anything but at severe heights those factors matter more and more. If you wear shoes and your athletic you can likely do 100 if you do feet first correctly but after that or adding flips and other factors can be chaotic
