Thomas Jefferson did not have a child with Sally Hemmings. Sally Hemmings was 1/4 black, and she did have a child while at Montecello that was from the Jefferson male line. It was almost assuredly via Jefferson's older brother, who was known to spend time with the slaves at Montecello into late hours, playing music and dancing with them.
This series is the best all time episodes of this show

True story, I have dyslexia, and my parents never told me. I always had trouble in school but managed to graduate from UGA with a bachelor's in journalism. As a kid, my father locked me in my room and would not let me out until I could recite the months of the year. That was traumatic for me. But by God, I learned them! ;)

How did American colonies defeat the British royal army and navy?
"Washington arrived in Yorktown with about 2,500 Americans and 4,000 French soldiers facing some 8,000 British troops.
The success of the French fleet in gaining control of the Chesapeake Bay prevented Cornwallis from receiving reinforcements and helped ensure that Washington could use the bay to transport troops and supplies to Yorktown.
French agents sent the Patriots military aid (predominantly gunpowder) through a company called Rodrigue Hortalez et Compagnie, beginning in the spring of 1776. Estimates place the percentage of French-supplied arms to the Americans in the Saratoga campaign at up to 90%.
French gunpowder began to arrive in the colonies in the summer of 1776, and it's a good thing that it did because Washington was essentially out of powder. The powder that was used to defend New York City and then subsequently in the failed defense of Philadelphia, Brandywine, and Germantown, that powder was French powder. This was actually a good thing for the Americans because French powder was the best gunpowder made in the world.
The end of the war America's reliance on French gunpowder was almost complete. Probably 75% of the gunpowder Americans used at the siege of Yorktown was French gunpowder. Perhaps even more. It was absolutely vital. This strategic resource, gunpowder, had to be obtained laboriously in the colonies. Had to be manufactured at home, captured from the British, or acquired from the French and ultimately it was the French who provided the gunpowder that won American independence.
Because the French involvement in the war was distant and naval in nature, over a billion livres tournois were spent by the French government to support the war effort, raising its overall debt to about 3.315 billion. The finances of the French state were in disastrous shape."

@NastyNate18B Jewish is both a religion and an ethnicity. Israel is very accepting of all kinds of people, especially LGBT. There are plenty of non-practicing/non-religious Jews who simply have Jewish heritage and who could technically get citizenship in Israel if they have a Jewish mother.
@@Sniperboy5551 I don’t want to come off as hostile. But Judaism/being Jewish isn’t an ethnicity. Hebrew would be their ethnicity. Or wherever the practicing Jew is from. It’s equivalent to Christian or Muslims. And being gay is VERY MUCH frowned upon in Torah. Thankfully there’s some progressive teachings in most religions but we can’t ignore the ground rules.
