You made that look easy my man I also didn’t actually know you could anneal aluminum ! You’ve given me an idea for a van bonnet build I have floating around in my head to , was thinking this technique would also work for side exhaust holes to maybe I was wondering how I would do it now I know …nice job dude 👍
Hell yeah! Thanks brother! Glad I can help!
Nice job.a quick tip if you leave the sheet metal the size of the hammer form and ssrew thru all 3 pats it will keep it all centered and you make a delrin head for a air hammer you can flow form it really realy quik.big props to your work it looked really nice.thank for sharing your gifts!

Nice work!
Great video, liking the sharpie trick, liked and subscribed 👍
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it man! Glad you liked the video
You could have just cut the center hole and screw the aluminum square with the 2 planks cut at the same dimensions of your aluminum square so you're perfectly centered so there's no chance of the aluminum slipping as you start hammering. Once formed you just need to cut the aluminum excess. Makes the work a little easier.
Great channel! Thanks for the knowledge. This video may have just saved me $600 on ¼ window trim, if I can get this 'nique down.
Good stuff man👍
Thanks for the visit
Would be nice to know what grade and thickness of aluminum you used for this project? My guess would be 5052 or 3003 at .050 or .040.The little details can trip us up sometimes.
Oh yeah dude good point! This was made in 5052 .063
what aluminum alloy...3003?
Yes 3003 0.63
What is the sheet metal material and thickness?
This is 4043 aluminum .063 thickness
Great value video brother ...wish you would do a teaching on how to do a power bulge on a bonnet like how you did these beauty rings
Send me an example photo to my email address in my bio. Maybe I can make that video
Are we making a kids toilet ??
Kinda looks like that doesn't it😂
Did you do anything else on the Rx7?
Yes I build some exhaust tubes some waste gate tubes by welding up some pie cuts to get the correct positions we needed, also built the crash bar mounted the fuel tank etc. etc.
Quite all right🥸
What gauge metal is this?
What up Scott. This is 5052 .063
