I have a Cort Earth 70 OP and it sounds fantastic. Its one of the cheapest solid spruce top guitars you can find and the finishing is very nice. Doesn't feel cheap at all
I have one for 21 years now. Am happy with it, specially because I live in Brazil, and we don't have so many options here. Prices far higher also. But what kind of setups would you recommend?
I have an Eart 70. It has a little less bling. Replaced a wobbly plastic saddle with Graph Tech shaped to fit snug in the slot with 0.090" action. I hate the black rubbery sticky tuner knobs. Switched those out for hard plastic. Only $13 on Amazon. Very nice guitar for the money.
I bought one of these for my girl quite a few years ago. They have changed over the years but the one we have is similar to yours except the binding is white, though the rosette and headstock logo are identical. I'd imagine it's about 10 years old. I think it was around $250 CAD at the time, they've gone up in price. Good guitar for the money. Loud and bright, holds tune well. Nice overview you've done.
CORT is mostly Indonesian factories and Samick used to be S. Korean factories ... most of the world's electrics by the 2 makers... Both are nice. I like CORT electrics!
I once owned a Parkwood,Oh Wow, what a beautiful looking and Sounding acoustic/electric guitar, I was told by a Luthier, they Very High class, and that was true😊
I think the Takamine G series are good value. Of course there are some really nice high end Taks too. I avoid the Jasmine stuff as the used market is flooded with them.
I only found out about Takamine because I discovered that the musician Hozier uses a lot of them. He plays the NY model though and it's pricey. :) The starter Jasmine models used to be made by Takamine but are now made by someone else. Apparently the Jasmine S35s though have quite a decent sound for a starter guitar.
You can't beat that price! I seen some one saying you sold a hummingbird like 1 of 85 ? A black one with a case lined in blue? I know a friend I Phoenix picked up one for I believe 1350 not sure he was not vary happy with it. Is someone BSing He is trying to sell it 4 4ooo don't sound right.I have a 2014 bird I got a deal in Daytona new. It's a Montana just wondering about 1 of 85. ..
@@FlowforthInstruments yes this guy sounds like a scam. Gibson has never made any 2014 Birds with numbers from 1 to 85! I am a Gibson nut and lately there has been some crazy things going on with the black ones. A mate of mine picked up one on Phoenix for I beleave 1350 he sold it it sounded like shiet... One must be careful anymore. Are you in the Windey city.? Chicago. I son married a lovely woman from there.
I,m left hand and i bay this guitar and its wonderfull Somebody play o fender cc 60s next to me and i musttell you Cort eat this fender the sound is so big Wow o didint expect Zajebista
Had this guitar for 20 years and it still plays great. It's in some of my vids tbh

Yes, very nice guitar. Stay tuned, I'm posting a review of a Cort Earth Grand OP very soon.

They are excellent guitars. Set the action, truss rod, and put on your favourite strings.
@@dxonson I'd go to a Luthier,if you can find one,or do it yourself, I've done that for 40 years, made a few mistakes, but learn from it keep going

The Earth 70s are very decent.

Yes, they have gone through a few tweaks by Cort but I find them to be consistently good. Glad you like yours.
The Cort company is truly amazing. Making entry level instruments right up to pro-shop level. They offer it all.
True - very reliable manufacturer.

Thanks for the info. I've only worked on one Cort electric and was impressed. Why aren't they more popular? Same with the Washburn electrics....
I've worked on a few and they are definitely worth what they cost.
I grab 'em when I can Randy - good reliable guitars.
Good review, Cort are really a hidden gem, great quality and sound for the money, well worth having a go, you wont be let down.
Agree with that. Thanks for watching.

Parkwoods are great guitars... hard to find now.
@@FlowforthInstruments yes, I owned 1, nice guitar, well made too
That's a very good guitar. I have the Cort Earth 70. It's pretty solid and well built.
Yes, the Earth series are very nice for the price.
For what stands the 100? What is difference to the 70? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for another great video. What do you think of takamine? They seem overpriced but ive never had one

What would you personally choose, Yamaha FG800 or Cort Earth 100?
That's a dead heat in my eyes.
Hey man love your vids! What is the difference between the Cort Earth 100 and the Cort Earth 100-NS? Thanks.
Not sure - I think the NS is just the natural version.
@@maxlin7398 Google the question and you'll find out
The newer ones have a neck binding, which is nice.
They are all nice!

I haven't sold any hummingbirds in a while - they are hard to find.

Although some Cort guitars are made in China, it is actually a South Korean brand.
Yes, that's fairly typical. Inyen Vina (IYV) is also Korean and they make their guitars in Viet Nam.
Nice nice 👍
Cheers.
It’s not a solid top?
Yes it is. Most of the Earth series are solid tops.
Mine is awesome
Cool!

Cort Earth acoustics blow away the CC60s
good description, play a bit more when you can...
