It's not getting bad, but the opposite, because science is not about absolutes, but constant learning, so it's a good thing.
Why do people keep saying JWST images are bad news? I think it's findings are fascinating. And why are people shocked to find out we don't really know what happened billions of years ago and previously outside of our observational reach? I think all of these findings are a great thing. If I were a scientist I would be thrilled to find out that we know even less than we thought.
They are wrong about everything.
