Each and every single one of you for what you have done to save these Brumbies from an horrific slaughter . May they all run free away from the Destruction and Death the NSW Government Ministers threaten them all with . May we all remember the ones that have been killed , trapped and transported to slaughter houses . We will never forget what has happened . Imagine being a true Australian hero and moving the Brumbies to safety, thankyou all for being who you are as people, I'm hoping for a miracle and for the NSW Government to come to its senses, and allow those who offered to do an Independent RECOUNT, and stop this cruelty.
Thank you thank you thank you for your fantastic effort in moving some of our favourite Brumbies to hopefully safe ground. I was in tears watching the video, some sad and some for joy. The government should back off and listen to all you people, locals and everyone that spends a lot more time with the horses than they do. Hoping that some of the other herds can be saved too, especially the Pallie Mare's mob, I think she has a huge fan club, as do many others. Well done and congratulations for pulling this off.

I got an email to say that aerial culling had been accepted and it was saying it was a victory for our native wildlife because the brumbies destroy habitat for some of them. I'm not there so I don't know what the true story is but I know that shooting horses from helicopters would be a most terrifying experience for all of them and clean kills would be awfully hard no matter how experienced the shooter. What a terrible idea! And now to come across this video and know that you wonderful people did as much as you could to save some of them from that experience makes me very thankful. At least some are safe. Can anyone say how long the shooting will go on? Is there a time limit or a number to reach? I hate the idea that some mobs have gone through this already and that some may have been shot. There has got to be a better way to manage this issue if it exists. Please know that your efforts are appreciated and supported wholeheartedly by many, many horse lovers in Australia.

The Minister for the 'Environment' (sic), Penny Sharpe, has absolutely no idea or is knowingly acting upon the false information she is being fed regarding the numbers of brumbies in the KNP. The inhumanity and barbarity of aerial culling is just devastating. Mares shot, left wounded and suffering, dying a slow an painful death. Their foals being left to starve - what kind of a solution is this? The RSPCA has not acted on this event - are they truly a pro-animal organisation. The NSW Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979 (including the NSW Primary Industries Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979) made amendments to state animal welfare legislation which bring tougher penalties for animal cruelty offences, including the introduction of a new offence under the Prevention to Cruelty Animals Act 1979 (POCTAA). For committing an act of cruelty: fine increased from $5,500 and/or 6 months imprisonment to $44,000 and/or 12 months imprisonment for individuals, and from $27,500 to $220,000 for corporations. Why is the Environment Minister and NSWNP exempt from this legislation?
