Great idea! Just pulled the motor out of my 09 R6 last night and was looking for a way to mount the motor to an engine stand and am very glad I scrolled across this video in google. Thank you!
Awesome idea! I love the deals at harbor freight and the fact that you can easily modify their tools to make them way cheaper than the overpriced specialty tools that you don't use that often. One word of friendly advice: try using a 1/8" or 3/16" drill bit first to make a pilot hole. It will help center the hole and keep from wearing down your larger bits as much...don't ask me how I know 😉 thanks for sharing, cool video man!
This was really nice idea! Was looking many different options. And by far this is absolutely easiest way to get engine stand, where you can easily change motor position while fixing it.=) Thanks.
Well, I used an engine lift. BUT, I’d you don’t have one, two really good buddies (bribed with a cheap case of beer) can try and pick it up carefully while you bolt it down. Although bulky, the engine itself is not all that heavy. Two people can lift it up.
eBay my guy! You need to go to eBay hahaha. Inspect everything. Make sure to contact the seller and know EXACTLY what you are buying. My cylinder head was in near perfect condition. You could do the same!
