Insted of cost cutting in processors let them cost cut in display size atleast you get a good processors , unlike mediatek and all of those cheap processors
5.5-6 inch display ips/amoled definitely not TFT panels
Samsung is providing TFT panels for 15-20k phones and people like you won't even noticing that
Processors like snapdragon 600/700 series
And samsung is providing low end cheap mediatek processor or sometimes even there own Exynos processors
And those phones cost from 15k 20k and some times even in flagship models and yet people like you won't even noticing

Using Asus Max pro M1 3gb/32gb variant from 2018 still it works like a pro no problem with anything at all absolutely love it waiting for Asus to launch mid range mobiles which may not happen
i loved this phone at the first glance and specs but Asus have launched a bit late and it is a bit costly too
It is a great device even with less battery life, though the design does turns me off. The camera cut-out is uneven.

Asus is one of the best brands when it comes to laptop, infact they were quite good at smartphones also few years back don't know what happened and they stop introducing new smartphones..this one look interesting..they need to be consistent because market is very competitive..

my first phone was asus zenfone max m1 pro...and i am still using it. Pubg still works on high graphics without any lag.....but it has now started giving a little bit of heating issues. Overall it is working very fine.

Asus actually made good phones. Still using my more than 4 years old Zenfone Max Pro M1 and before that too I had Asus Zenfone 5 back in 2013 which I used till 2016 as secondary phone. Max Pro M1 still works fine for day to day tasks although camera has shown signs of aging but rest even the Battery Backup is still good I still get 1 and half day of battery on single charge with moderate usage and music playback for approx 6-7 hours daily on Spotify. I wish they had a good marketing then these Oppo Vivo wouldn't have stood anywhere around it.

Personally i felt bad when companies started removing notification light from their phones. For me it was an important feature. The edge lighting and all that looks cool but for me it's the notification light which felt practical. That's the reason for me not being able to upgrade my phone. Currently using redmi note 4 which has different color led light for calls, messages and battery level. Was looking for a phone to upgrade under 20k but didn't find one with a notification light so using it. Does all the basic work. Gets laggy at times. Bt then i restart the phone once in a while and then it functions smoothly.
Sadly we don't get phones like it nowadays

Perfect phone for me. I have a 6.4" display phone and yet it's still too big for me. 6.7" would be a problem, and don't even talk about Infinix putting out 6.95" tablets.
When I found this one for the first time I loved it from every point but seeing that their is no hype about it not a single percent i gradually forget about it 🙃

Service center of asus is available throughout the India but unfortunately most of the service centers have discontinued working on mobiles. Recently the service center in nasik have stopped servicing phones

If this Phone had SD778G instead of 888, it would have required less cooling so could have added a bit bigger battery
And if that was priced at 32-33K, this would have been Compact Phone of the Year
They can still launch lite version with those specs - around 27 k for 778
One idea for cooling is to provide a cooling gel layer on the inside of a phone cover. That would help cool the phone

I have asus 5z but the company has stopped production of its parts within four years. My service centre experience is kind of worst they directly told me to repair phone at third party shops.
I have used first zenfone for 2 years and using zenfone 6Z for last 3 years. Th phone is awesome. I dont understand why flip/popup camera phones are not getting popularity.
I have used zenfone 6Z and vivo v15pro, and wish to upgrade to a latest flip/popup phone, but sadly there is no in the market

It is a brilliant phone which was launched by a suicidal company. I waited for it for close to 8 months before buying the I phone 13. Even now they have not launched the 256Gb version. I would really like to know who takes these decisions in that company.

My previous phone was Asus Zenfone 5Z which was pretty good. Unfortunately I broke the phone after using it for 3 years. Now I'm facing difficulties for it's authorized service centre although Asus have service centres in every part of India but only selective of them deal with the mobile.
Just wanted to say if someone puchasing any asus phone then atleast check if their service centre is available in your locality or not.
I've used asus zf5(asus zenfone 1 we can say) zf2(which was working great, my sisters daughter put it in water) and zf3(almost for 4 years) all those great phones. Zf3 still working great except battery backup gone bit down. Hence I've changed to Samsung recently (some 6 months back) but that asus feel is not there in samsung. I was recommending asus phones for everybody who were asking me for phones. Some peoples also said me that I'm asus's marketing agent but I was definitely not. Such good was their phones. I was watching for this phone since last April. Almost after 1 year came to India. But it is too late. May asus come back again.

U forgot to mention one thing. Iske ultrawide camera mein autofocus bhi hai. And that itself is a big feature because kabhi kabhi we need to focus very close objects and main camera wo nahi kar pata .
There are a lot of people who won't feel much comfort using large phones and it's also hard to find low priced smaller size phones. This seems like a good deal

I am still using asus Zenfone max m1 of ₹7500, it has led indicator, front flash , loud speaker,clean UI, camera is also good at this range.
I don't know why asus discontinued these budget phones.

It's really a mystery. They were almost king of budget phones for a while but after that there was complete and utter silence. Even their international launches were kinda late as compared to other brands. But regardless of that, this phone is too late and slightly overpriced. Asus simply isn't in that position to be asking this kind of money now.
They sold the phones with losses so they stopped
Maybe they left due to the sheer competition. They could've been more persistent like Motorola, who took its time to get back in the arena. Asus is only actively present in markets other than India I guess... this phone was launched long time ago, along with its elder brother zenfone flip 8

This video was much needed!!! Call recording is needed which asus gave! SD 888 is pretty fast but thoda garam hota hai becoz if compact size and chota hai (mast Perfromance ❤️), display is really good with amoled 120hz and hood colors, camera is good and dono kaam ke cameras hai with good colors and video recording is much good, battery is less but chota phone hai!

I bought Asus 5z way back in 2018, and it's still working fine for me. I always loved Asus phones, I don't know why they are not focusing on the Indian market. I like compact phones, so for me, 8z is just the perfect compact phone.
i bought it 2 years back😂 the wide angle camera is gone.. Cracked on the back.. Screen blacking on the front.. but rarely ever lags.. and works fine af

i had poco, then i returned it and bought 5z, i was amazed at the display quality, it was so good. Best ips display i had seen on a phone. But i sold it after using 2 weeks. Worst battery backup i have seen on any phone.

I bought Asus 8z and also watching this video in the same device.
I have been using this phone since Nov, got it from us. The battery on auto hz and dynamic battery will give you around 15 hours. With light gaming and rest normal usage. The only major con is front camera, it's not up to the mark as per the price point. Regarding heating, it goes upto 45'C on continuous game play. No heating in normal usage.
Zenfone Max Pro M1 was one of the best bang for the buck , full paisa vasool phone in the last few years! I used it hardcore with Gcam from Day 1 and only recently upgraded to the S20 FE 5G.
Solid phone it was, custom rom support is also 👌

@@Ajay89372 I used it since launch, then 3 of my friends, then 3 of my relatives. Haha. I recently changed the battery (1700/- from official Asus service centre) and battery life is back to 10hrs SOT! I remember I unlocked the bootloader on day 1 to enable Camera2Api, to use Gcam mod, as I knew the camera was garbage in itself. Gcam transformed the overall phone!

While realme takes advantage of LTPO 2.0, Samsung makes s22 ultra display LTPS type by giving sofware update. Now refresh rate is 120hz constant. The same company making display.

I think you're under pressure of not saying it clearly "don't buy". I think this isn't worth buying at this price because camera is avg, heating issue is there, battery backup isn't that great. These many compromises for a phone at this price isn't justified

Note: For service centre, you can enquire first at official Asus Laptop service centres... The one I know in Pune services Asus laptops and Zenfones both. For ROG phones need to go to another centre in the city.

Still using Asus 5z from 2018. SD845 is still an amazing processor, handles everything easily. No lags or bugs. Still not feeling like changing it. 😁
Rakesh bhai, please do a battery backup test for 8Z as on paper it is quite low with SD888.
You can run Windows 11 on it if you get to end of life that device with a phone cooler

@@abushadazam210 I got the battery replaced last year in Feb from official service center and currently it is giving me an SOT of about 4-4.5 hours at moderate usage. Not the best but gets the work done as its 18W charging works really well for me, be it with AC charging or power bank (Xiaomi 3i) 😁

I have used 3 Asus phones till date. I can definitely tell their after sell service and software updates are excellent.
Service centre is good. Service is good. Using 5z from last 3 years. Spare parts are cheap as well. Computer ka service station he toh phone ka bhi hai. Only issue is software updates and security updates. Phil screen guard cover etc milna

I'm still using ZenFone 5z. I would say even though the software updates will come slow. But at the end of the day it's clean, totally ad free and can be dependent. (This is my personal opinion).
And that call recording option I was telling from past 1 year that ASUS also give Call Recording. It works in WiFi calling mode too. Even I talked to Moderators in ZenTalk they said they'll be continuing giving call recording option in Asus phones.
I don't know why but no youtuber mentioned call recording feature even though they had reviewed ROG phone in the past. 🤔🤔😒

I had bought Asus 5z when it was released in 2018. Truly under rated phones as such. It was a wonderful phone and has never given me any problems till date. However camera is just above average. Nothing great. But it still works brilliantly.

I bought it on lauch by exchanging my OP3, really loved the design and shape of it. But really got tired of the notch. Exchanged it next year for K20 Pro, working great so far.
