Not gonna lie a mix of the two basically makes you into a bloodtinge build from bloodborne and it is beautiful. Might piss off the DM but it is insane synergy wise.

After getting beat to shit and nearly losing a teammate, my character chose his subclass with the mindset of "You know what? F@ck the undead IN PARTICULAR!" I never looked back. I’d honestly reflavor this subclass to hunt nightmare monsters, because I personally think the plane of dreams is very underrated and cool, and I’m working on my own version of it too. When I think about the concept of a dream world I think of Little Big Planet, Little Nightmares, Okami, Rayman, etc.

Between the teleportation denying brand of tethering, often super effective damage and opportuninty attacks with any spell, they'll be in a bit of a pickle.

not at all. Charisma is not an important score for a blood hunter in the slightest, mechanically at least. Constitution is obviously very important given how much damage you could be taking then Strength or Dexterity depending on what kind of weapons you want to focus on then Intelligence or Wisdom for your hemocraft modifer
The only problem with Blood Hunter as a class is how insanely MAD it is. You basically need good stats in Strength/Dexterity (for weapon damage), Constitution (so you don’t faint at the sight of your own blood), Intelligence (so your Hemocraft isn’t wimpy), AND Wisdom (because Perception checks). You’re versatile, sure, but you’re stretched incredibly thin, even more so than the likes of Monk or even Paladin.
So while I agree, this is actually what I like about the blood hunter. I think it makes for some more well rounded builds when you're not forcing yourself to max a few stats. Also a lot of the blood maledicts just happen without a save unless you amplify meaning you dont necessarily need a high hemocraft mpd to make it work. Food for thought, but thanks for the insight!
Canon? How all things in dnd are canon. Loosey goosey as it gets. Fair? Its good. But the gloomstalker, bladesinger, or moon druid are way more poweeful. Ghostslayer doesn't break the game in any way.

There are some MODs for BG 3 that you can play at least as an Artificer. Don't know how this things work tho
