I have a 2018 tidewater. Same thing switch burnt up. I called lenco and they said its a common failure. Buy the new switch and your good. It no longer uses the controller ( black box)
How did you open up the hole for the new switch? I usually use a holesaw but this is tricky. Might try a deburing file on my drill. Its soo close to fitting
