The passion Duke has for his fighter is like a father protecting a son like in rocky 3 the way he dives in to defend rock like he did for Apollo in the previous films says it all.
Steve Jobs watches Duke's swagger at 3:45, and says to himself: "That black turtleneck -- that will be my look every day from now on...." Seriously, though, Duke's presence throughout the Rocky films is absolutely inspiring. He should've gotten a best supporting actor Oscar in both Rocky I (see the meat locker interview scene) and in Rocky II ("...we don't need that type of man in our life...").

Je t'ai vu lui en mettre dans le buffet comme jamais je ne t'ai vu et ce mec est constamment revenu à l'abordage,c'est un client a emmerdement.Quand on regarde bien le combat de rocky 2, rocky gagne peut être mais il ne gagne que un round,j'adore apollo

What's overrated is the "under appreciated" "underrated" trope that keeps popping up every 5 minutes everywhere.

Carl Weathers was so brilliant in Rocky 2. Creed's obsession to destroy Rocky in this rematch and redeem himself really came across.. RIP Carl..

Duke man , wise and a father figure , when I was a kid I thought he was a real boxer trainer. Great Cast , miss him
Duke was a real boxer before becoming an actor. That’s why the scene with Apollo about “not needing a man like that in our life” and the missing and best moment “You cut him. You hurt him. You see he’s not a machine he’s a man” were the best moments of Duke.
When Apolo died...one part of me died too.

I wish you guys would include stuff from the director's cut of Rocky IV.
To be honest, I don’t like the Director’s cut of Rocky IV because although it fix most everything and having more drama, they skip all the iconic scenes of Rocky IV and everyone is not having their moment including Paulie. I prefer the complete cut of Rocky IV because it have the mix of the Director’s cut and the original cut and is so beautiful and the complete cut was made by Zach B
Tony Burton that portrayed Tony (Duke) Evers was a former professional Heavyweight boxer out of Michigan. He was perfect for this role as Creed's trainer.
Apollo didn't let it go, he wanted a rematch. At first, he said, there ain't gonna be no rematch.
