When the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) chief was asked before a Congressional inquiry committee about Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) regulations he clearly did not know the law. He said, "Separating the forearm attachment grip from the SBR will make it legal." He is wrong. The regulation as was interpreted by the ATF clearly states that the forearm grip on an SBR will become illegal after 31 May 2023. Which means it has to be registered. Taking off the grip on an unregistered SBR does not make it legal. There are millions of these stocks bought legally in the public. After 31 May the cost of registering an SBR will be $200 each. Lots of laws Danny, and New York has even more laws!
