I won a $50 credit for the listing on Poshmark. I love your channel so I decided I’d spend it with you. I’m the one that bought a bundle of three items about a week ago. Thank you for all your great content.
oh my gosh thank you so much!!!! I LOVE that they do those giveaways. I won several years ago, $25 I think, when I had maybe 5 items listed. I really appreciate it!!
It’s so slow! I’m inventorying and putting old inventory on $.99 auction. It makes sense with the economy…things are rough for a lot of people right now!
I am going to do a purge of my entire inventory Jan 1. And as a buyer I can definitely say I have slowed all my own purchases so I definitely get why things are slow.
Post anything to DEPOP it does not have to be trendy. I love DEPOP. I have sold alot of style based vintage and just regular clothing. Linen does really well on Depop. The big con on depop is someone can send you an offer then you accept and the buyer has to ACCEPT AGAIN! Probably 60% of the time they do not accept again I don't know why they do this.
I really just dont have the time to add another platform - I havent even made a sale on curtsy and that is 0 work. I am going to just stick with the 3 that I make sales on and keep chugging along.
I used to start all my listings in posh then transfer to list perfectly now I start everything in list perfectly using express lister I can add everything all at once , after your last video I opened a curtsy and already made 2 sales ! Depop I can’t give stuff away over there I get tons of offers but NOONE ever pays over there it’s such a time suck
@@afullercloset5625 I’m hoping curtsy does SOMETHING for me 😂 I don’t do any listing from my computer which is why I don’t use the LP database. I list at the dance studio and in the car at youth group, etc. So it’s definitely been a change to see which is easiest. Kidizen was so easy to list on.
Sales rough over here too!! Hopefully you get some traction! I’m excited I found a new BST called Planet Xchange near me. They buy teen-middle age clothes and are so much nicer than Plato’s!!🎉
I'm also just starting on Depop with the end of Kidizen. I just crosslisted all my items and made my first sale today...a 0-3 month green and white striped Ralph Lauren romper. That certainly doesn't fit into the "Depop aesthetic", so I'm just going to continue to list everything over there. I don't think it will ever be a big platform for me, but I'll take whatever sales come my way there.
wow that is a random sale! I didnt realize they had a kids category so I have been listing a few things there. Only new items I am crosslisting anyway. I am just hoping for sales ANYWHERE right now lol
my sales were nonexistent on poshmark in october, and on ebay they were slowish. depop on the other hand, almost out performed all of them! i normally keep my depop curated to just vintage/y2k stuff, or style based trends. i've never tried curtsy!
October was my best month so far which is weird because I see a lot of people saying it was bad for them, but now I am feeling it slow :( I am however very optimistic for my reselling business for the years to come though so just trying to list consistently as much as I can. Gotta keep chugging along!
I was freaking out about having much lower sales for almost 2 weeks and then I noticed several youtubers that are very popular and do live sales were not selling very much either. It actually made me feel more confident about my sales. For the last week my sales have increased substantially... so hoping the trend continues.
Sales have really been bad for me too. Ebay and Posh are very slow. I just started on Depop. I sold a Y2K babydoll fairy core top and a Y2k Sweatshirt Streetstyle. I have had ppl offer and ghost even if I accept. I'm not going to worry about that all that much. If it actually sells, then I will take it off the other platforms. I am definitely curating my Depop with just Y2K, vintage and cool looking items. No seller fees unless you boost and then its 8%. Just make sure with Curtsy that you double check when you upload from Posh. It listed all my items including not for sale and I think sold items. Curtsy seems to be about trendy fast fashion like Zara, Free People, etc. Lots of young girls modelling their items and selling from their own closets.
thanks for the insight! I definitely wont be doing any modeling haha. my curtsy seems to just be my for sale items. I am just ready for things to pick up. I am focusing on NWT items for the next bit so hopefully that helps.
October was my worst month to date since I started selling 2 years ago. I have noticed an uptick in the first week of November so I’m hoping things can only get better from here 🤞🏻
Sooooo slow and I feel like that’s most people I went over a week on Poshmark without a sale and I’ve been listing more consistently than ever. Also started Cross posting to curtsy and Depop. Had my first curtsy sale last night and Depop I’ve had 2 i think, I just cross list anything i think is trendy or vintage over there lol 😂
I had two sales this morning so I am hoping things are going to shift. And yay for the first sale!! Waiting on mine. I do have $20 credit to spend so maybe that will put more eyes on my shop. I do feel like anytime I Purchase off of the apps I get sales right after.
Amanda, exactly what you said about Poshmark = great sales with new fee structure and Posh Pass. Full price sales for first time in like forever and as soon as Poshmark changed back to the original fee structure absolute crickets. I am curious about who was complaining and why Poshmark caved to "their" wishes. Thanks for the content and remember a wise woman once told me "List your crap, it will sell" so that is my mantra going forward. Cheers! Jenn
I was just talking to my husband about this earlier. We’re about to move into our new house and making our budget and I’m like I don’t even know what to say I can contribute right now because sales have been all over the place. I had the same thing with great sales during the change and it’s like a switch flipped as soon as they changed back. I was really worried when they first announced the change, but was shocked that my sales started to increase, especially full price sales. I wonder if it was the shipping discount or something they did internally. Either way they need to do something to help us! I’ve been listing consistently too and it’s just dead. Depop is all about vintage and super trendy looks. I’m not great at it yet and I’ve been selling over 2 years there lol. My little sister does good there but she’s 24 and sells a lot of things I’d never even think to pick up. Like wet seal tank tops from the 00’s. She sells more lower dollar items too, which I think helps over there since it’s a younger crowd.
thanks for the tips and support! I think I would rather flip my cheap stuff at the actual Plato's. I think Posh would be sooo much better if Ambassadors, or even just Level 2's, got the discounted shipping in their shops on Posh's dollar. ESPECIALLY since they are taking 20%. They are greedy and wont, but I absolutely think it helped with sales and full price sales.
Also depop think of Platos closet stuff or vintage items. Those do the best and usually I sell items that would be $20 or less because in my experience it's younger buyers. I hate depop because people can send you offers and then you accept and then they still have to "purchase" it so a lot of times they don't actually buy it.
ah yes I had heard of somewhere people can just never pay, didnt realize it was depop. I think I will focus more on listing instead of adding another platform after reading the comments. My plato's stuff goes to plato's. Thanks for the tips!
I forgot to mention that I am still learning all of the best BST stores in WA. Anyway, I took my first tote to a Plato's and looked around. Ohmygosh I was like they are not going to take anything I brought in. 99% of the brands that were on their racks were expensive common brands such as NIKE, Adidas and Columbia. None of the uncommon expensive brands. I was actually amazed that they took 4 items, lol for a grand total of $20. Now I will search out other BST stores. Are you still looking for jeans for your middle? I have a bunch of size 00. I never knew that size existed. I should mention that they came in my last 200lb Thred Up box.
$5 each is pretty great from BST! I have purchased a few times from a kids BST store out of washington. Not sure if its near you but its called Mommy & Me Resale. (they have a website too and it looks just like OUAC) So none of the jeans I have tried have worked. The 00's are too big still in the waist, the 000 are too short, even the size long. Just living her best life in leggings for the next few months before trying again. Thank you for asking though!
I really enjoy Depop! I sell maybe 1-3 items per week but no seller fees is great. I find that activewear such as Lululemon sells really well over there, as well as trendier shoes/boots. I would say shoes is a great place to start. My sales have been horrible this first week in November! Hoping it’s just an election slow down! Hope yours picks up too!
Posh has no more buyers left. The only thing left on Poshmark are bots. Knockoff seller bots, PosherVA & Posh Sidekick bots clicking “like” on things just to look active on the algorithm.
September was my best month ever. October was the worst. Things on Posh are still yuck so I too got an ebay store. This is horrible so let's hope people feel like spending money after the election.
I seldom list any kids clothing myself - BUT - I have learned some good brands from you - and when I find them at the bins I send them to ThredUp. My kids stuff sells almost immediately when it goes live on TU - so that's my strategy! Lol! Sales have been steady - but it doesn't feel like Q4. I think elections always play into spending habits - so hopefully we will find our new normal soon after the election is called. Hang in there Amanda👍
Your're right. Election Tuesday makes me ill. I stayed home all day and cleaned out cupboards, curios and will do the same tomorrow. I'd stay barricaded in my house all week if i could and I'm only watching select RUclipss and the Movies! TV channel. 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮 I'm like the guy who doesn't want to hear the final score from a ball game. NaNa NaNaaaaa fingers in my ears.

I think we are all cautious about spending right now….uncertainty of the future makes many people buckle down and start saving.
well hopefully christmas gift sales keep happening, I am selling NWT items right now!

Oh how I feel this! Sales have definitely been disappointing with the amount of time being put in. Fingers crossed it picks up for us all! ❤️
Fingers AND toes crossed!
Sales rough over here too!! Hopefully you get some traction! I’m excited I found a new BST called Planet Xchange near me. They buy teen-middle age clothes and are so much nicer than Plato’s!!🎉
Oh wow that is great! I know you struggled with your Plato's.

@ hoping it will turn around soon!

it started out super for me but then just haulted - I too am positive things will turn around! :)

I woke up with a refreshed attitude about it and am just going to stay focused. keep my BST clearing out and listing as much as I can.
Vinted has been around alomg time and theirs still plenty of buyers there yet i dont see any of the people on You Tube posting about sales there.
I did download it but it doesnt seem as user friendly to me - and I dont really sell the aesthetic I see others posting on there and depop
@AmandaPruitt it's to me similar to mercari once you get used to the site. I've never been on depop.
Sales have really been bad for me too. Ebay and Posh are very slow.

thats good news! because it has started incredibly rough for me.
Fellow reseller channel here. I appreciated all the info you shared and I love your coffee mug display. Subscribing.
Thanks for the support!! And thanks, my handy hubby made it for me :)
@AmandaPruitt you're very welcome I have one of those handy hubbies too. I share some of his projects in my videos. Thankful.
"Poop show" for several months now, but in the ICU now
You speak truth 😅 I’ve tried everything but I just fear it’s going to get worse!
Sooooo slow and I feel like that’s most people I went over a week on Poshmark without a sale and I’ve been listing more consistently than ever.

I’m very part time with the reselling but my sales are the worst ever!
@@lorieorebaugh2598 ugh I’m sorry to hear that!

Yes! Thank you for the reminder! I need to just focus and LIST. I am hoping too many buyers didnt already delete Posh.
