I am currently up to date in reading Tokyo Ghoul:re online and I am rereading them as the english volumes releases. Personally I would say that a good time to jump into tokyo ghoul:re is probably once volume 6 has released in english, thats basically the first 2 main story arcs in tokyo ghoul:re so I would probably hold off for about two more volumes to release ;) love the video btw
Also, I read something about viz possibly speeding up the release of the tokyo ghoul volumes in the future. Nothing confirmed yet though just that they are considering it.
I own the first 5 volumes of Platinum End and I have to agree with you. It is pretty good but I guess pretty good doesn't cut it for everyones expectations of this duo.

Awesome video as always.... Recommendation: try reading web comics (Webtoon, Tapas...). There are some amazing stories (like Tower of God, I Love Yoo, Lookism). Those comics are free (legally free) for reading and are done by amateur artists that aren't in publishing , but are nonetheless amazing storywriters. Artwork is customized for phone/tablet devices. Even though you aren't inspired, you still keep inspiring us and I always appreciate your videos. "Take care". :)
Also can't wait for those Devilman hardcovers. :) If you've not checked it out yet, then I'd definitely recommend picking up _Complex Age._ It's a nice, short 6 volume series that gave me similar vibes to Inio Asano's works. Great haul! :)
Keep collecting Platinum End, I also think it's a great read and the art is just beautiful to look at. Even if the story isn't on DN level it's still worth it in my opinion
Heya Insidious! Super jealous of your collection. I need those volumes of Golden Kamuy & Children of the Whales hahaha but wanted to share my experience with Platinum End. Nothing detailed but overall the series is not terrible, although I can see why people think so. There are a lot of interesting ideas like the main character & his insane story. Also the differences in interactions with other characters that feel so real & mind provoking. I would say the series is just lacking originality. I’m not comparing past works here but I’ll compare to Jagaaan (if you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you do) which has its similarities & id say that the path it’s paving has more rewards & build up than Platinum. I feel like Platinum End is trying something new for themselves but nothing new for the audience & that to me is why is not great.
I would recommend you to read Boku No Hero Academia online too since the chapters and arcs are far ahead that of the physical manga. I mean I didn't know if you like reading online or not... but damn these last chapters of Bkha is really really good. I cried like 4 or 5 times throughout reading it. But some arcs like provisional license exam might be boring
I only read manga online if I can't buy the physical manga. So with My Hero Academia i'll wait for the volumes to release. But from how you described some of the latest chapters, i'm looking forward to reading them!

For sure, I haven't missed a game yet! I think the Warriors win this year pretty easily. I'd say in 5 or 6 over Houston, and in 4 or 5 over Cleveland in the finals. But in my biased opinion I hope Houston wins, it would be nice to see a new/different champion. It's painful to say considering my love for the Blazers, haha.

Hi I am looking to get into manga and want to find a new series to get into. I like horror and was looking a Gyo but I wanted a multi volume series and I am wondering what you would recommend.
My Hero starts off good but it became one of my favourite series around volumes 9-11. Made in Abyss also became one of my favourites pretty early on. You have a lot of stuff to look forward to!

Devilman is a massive icon in Japan. Also yes you should hold off on it as I do believe it’s a sequel, the original Devilman is one of the most influential series ever and worth a read. The anime on Netflix that’s a re adaptation of it is also excellent.

I ordered about 35 volumes last week, 24 turned up yesterday. Hopefully the rest won’t take long to be sent out. Mostly I filled in some gaps in my collection but started My Hero Academia and Black Clover with the first 4 of each though Black Clover 1 was missing and I got Seven Deadly Sins 15 instead. That’s a pain cause I don’t own anything else of it and I get to keep it and Black Clover is being sent out on its own.
CuriousGamer give black clover some time to grow on you in starts to get interesting around volume 5 and with some of the later volumes I recommend reading them all at once as I just think it tells the story best rather then waiting
I have read the first 3 volumes of Platinum End, while volume 2 was not that good but truley volume 3 made me curious what will happen next and I love to get the rest, it's a good manga

Even though I haven't read Bakuman yet, I personally think it's Takeshi Obata & Tsugumi Ohba's greatest work, & I can especially see how far Obata has gotten since creating Death Note for his art. He's improved so much!
