I managed to find these buy looking all over the internet in those dark corners.
I wrote a email off to channel 4 and here is the reply.
Dear Simon,
Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding SCRAPHEAP CHALLENGE: The Scrappy Races.
We don't automatically have the rights to release the programmes we broadcast on DVD and for those we do, as a rule we tend to choose titles to release that we feel will be financially viable. Unfortunately, this particular programme was not released through Channel 4 DVD or any other distributor that we are aware of.
As we are sure you can appreciate, we receive hundreds of requests for copies of programmes that were not released commercially, therefore, Channel 4's policy is that we do not provide one-off copies.
I am sorry that we are unable to help with your request.

I emailed channel four about 10 years ago for them and they said no, and they would never release them or re air them:/
So some routing around my dads old recordings and some other sources 😅 I found them all

Robert and Lisa are brilliant as hosts, the fact they show proper respect to the contestants and are visibly impressed whilst gently teasing them on occasion makes this so much better than the gameshows these days where the hosts are just horrible all the time

Fun fact: the auto box *doesn't have to* connect anywhere except the rear engine. People have done twin engine setups for LeMons cars without linking the transmissions. You'll need to control both throttles but that's about all IIRC.
Green team way overengineered their aerodynamic changes. For the speeds they are travelling at it will have a minor effect anyways but could have been done more simply and effectively. They could also improve airflow to the intercooler more simply. They just needed a downwards curved spoiler at the rear to direct airflow down towards the engine and a scoop over the engine to collect some of it. Directing air down is often more effective than a straight one as well for an average car body because much of the drag is from the turbulent air at the rear. Aerodynamics changes won't do much until they get up to at least about 70mph but could help a tiny bit for the speed challenge once at top speed. My suggestions also would not get in the way for other challenges so could have saved them some time in modifications.

i was surprised more wasnt made of the fact the Godesses were running on chipfat and got it to go that fast
Xud9tes are quick engines anyway and running them chip fat doesn’t affect power too much as they’re well known to be one of the best engines for it especially in 306s

The clip(s) showing the Barley Pickers with their engine hoisted up out of the frame revealed that the engine is a different one. It looks like a Cummins or some other type of inline 6 cylinder. One thing it's not is the V12 or V16 (which ever amount of cylinders it had) Rolls Royce. That was a different design and a lot longer engine.
Correct, it is a different one. Lot smaller too.
74Dyenamoif I remember correctly rolls-royce make big 6-cylinder diesel engines for marine applications so it might be one of them?

+neil froggy crompton no it's the same 16 litre inline 6 Rolls Royce it's just they said 16Cylinder by accident in the last episode so it's always had that 16 litre.
Yall are wrong its a Different Engine. in the next episode they replace the Rolls engine cos it was Knackered to hell. It was considerably bigger than the first one

in the end they did take it off i think on the second challenge since their engine blew up b4 the first was awesome when they made it 4wd an did the offroad challenge
Can't make my mind up as to what I found the most worrying points of this were; 1) the fact that the three wheeler passed the vehicle inspection test WITHOUT a roll cage OR the fact that Andy the farmer revealed that he has kids!

You can drive a car a peace of piss with out a synchro mess in the old days so why when a bunch of girls jump in a car start grinding gears just rev match you don't even need a clutch to change gear if you can match the revs

The green goddesses are very lovable, especially harry, but their lack of practical experience really shows. Good ideas, bad implementation. Plus they really handicapped themselves at the start.
The barleypickers are also very lovable but you can tell they're here more for the laughs than anything else.
Boat bouys are a bit silly but you can tell they know what they're up to.
Megalomaniacs are just kinda bad all around. If it were a motorbike challenge I'm sure they'd do much better.
Chaos crew really have the advantage here. No nonsense engineering and a lifetime of experience.
How boring can you get, just engine swapping a car... completely defeats the spirit of the show

The women had to be towed. They should be disqualified. It was a joke having them in the first place. NO2 lmao. Think of it as an oxygen magnet allowing more oxygen to be stuffed in making for a much bigger explosion. Like a blower without all the work and cost of a blower but can easily blow your engine. It does not sound like the guys installing it know at all how it actually works.

A rally driver who can't rev match, perhaps not use to the diesel lag. I hoped they'd remove the outboards. The farmboys should have left the diesel governor alone, they weren't going to win the speed race anyway. That Andy is a bit of a twit.
