Yeah exactly!! There are obvs actual crossfaders too like the Intellijel one, cross fading mixers like morphader and VC transitions etc too, and you could build one with two VCAs, a DC offset and an inverter…
Thank you! Your video was incredibly helpful to me. I used my Labyrinth with two complex oscillators connected to a quad VCA and fed into the Labyrinth's VCF. Blending between the VCW on the moog and 1 or both of the other VCO's (Odessa and Mindphaser). CV provided by the Gamut Repetitor and beats by Syntakt. I was lost for a couple of hours :)
Yup. that's what we did. It's at the center. Between two DFAMs, with a Mother at the bottom, and a Subharmonicon at the top, but the Lab and 2 x DFAMs alone are insane. The noises and sounds were getting are wild. It's very different when you play the knobs constantly, and totally let go. Stop by.
Another Kickain tip: the accent input is really, really important - almost non-optional. It gives you the full kick sound, and a reverse kick when used on its own, which is great as a rumble-type rhythmic sound (try kick+acc on each beat, and an accent only on 4.2). In the newest firmware it can also trigger a different preset.
The Doepfer A-197-3 is great for light effects! It's an RGB LED controller with seperate cv control for all three colors. Really nice to use with multed percussion triggers and envelopes or V/oct cv.
maybe not all that surprising to hear about the music you make, but damn, the labyrinth and the dfam seem to be REALLY good at bringing out the "downwards" birmingham techno within you. i'd say that's only ever a good thing; regis's gymnastics album is maybe still one of the finest benchmarks a techno producer could set themselves up to. i'd even say embrace the occasional discordance in that case, but that's just me. anyway; not all that related to the video, but to anyone reading, i hope you've had yourself a good 808 day.
All your great music is just building my frustration that I don't yet have a firm date for the delivery of my Labyrinth, which I ordered a month ago :)
Great vid and also enjoyed the earlier one very much. Big thumbs up for Yorkshire Tea too… awaiting my Labyrinth for my live system, interactions between in and my Soectraphon will hopefully be technotastico!
Great Jam… now I need to look up what a multimode digital oscillator is and see whether any of the digital ones I possess fit that description. Another thought, have you thought of approaching bjorn books and Moog about a version 2 of their patch and tweak book? If not, why not? ;-)
I'm guessing you could preview a new voice with a Befaco Output V3. Not as powerful as the Output Bus but there's a Cue input that can be routed to the headphones.
Hey man, im really looking to make a rack like this, do you have a modular grid of this or something or like a way i can see all the modules you've got on there? im only new to modular, this video is really awesome

Pretty ballsy with the beverage hovering over that eurorack... 🤠
Gotta live on the edge

The biggest NO NO in my room for sure.
I was going to say the same thing, I allow "Zero" beverages around any of my musical gear and computers.

What an awesome idea! It's kinda like DJing with synth oscillators! But with a triangular cross fader. Nice 👌

This was the video I was waiting for. This is the only video that's made me consider a Labyrinth.
Banging as always. Can’t get enough of these videos. Prime Mylar action. No one does it like you sir :)
Thanks luv, I’m gonna make some tweaks to this case (perc in) and see if I might not be able to do a mini set with it

Just rewatched the complete original video yesterday haven’t had gas this bad in a while might try and build something similar in reason
I really like this idea, very cool, might have to... use it as inspiration for my own live setup

Love these jams

Cross faders are elite for this kind of stuff. WMD Axys is my personal favourite.
Good tip ta!!!
this is very good 🔥
Maybe using a Make Noise Rosie would work well as the crossfader module
I keep wondering if there is only coffee in that mug...but the vid is absolutely great!!!

Nice! Quick question, would you mind recommending some good replacement knobs for the 6mm ones on DFAM/Labyrinth (aside of the ofc Moog ones)? Thanks!

Oddly I use DFAM with Braids & Pams in a very similar way ❤

Those are tiptop stackcables!
Amazing. What is that bass drum?

Need a bevvy update, i.e. type of tea, milk or cream, any bickie, etc
