LOVED THIS!! This is what i've been looking. A professional using consumer grade footage/camera making it projects look like film!!! Thank you!!! MORE MORE MORE of this please.
Working with older DSLRs I can say I love your content on working with 8 bit footage. Sometimes you gotta make what you have work. It’s good to remember there are plenty of 7D, 5D mark ii and D800 shots hidden in tons of films so it’s gotta be possible to make 8 bit to look like an Alexa or at least look decent.
damn, that before and after was amazing. Would love to see this done with davinci's stock tools or with other popular plug ins such as 'dehancer'. Great work as usual
Amazing! Goes to show that we can achieve film stock looks with basically any camera. I wonder if Davinci's native tools can create that film negative and print process.
Would you ever go over the process of printing to film? I know you have to grade a project twice, but I’ve not seen anyone go through the entire process fully
Hey, in which color space are we working after the first node? Don't you need to set the timeline color space in the settings before, so the HDR Tools work properly?
This is all great, more content like this, I think most people use sony cameras, could you do something where you don't use this "filmbox" plugin. We can't do it with the free version.
Good afternoon Qazi, I just came across this incredible tutorial, and I must say, your insights are invaluable. You touched on a crucial point in this video when you compared your grade to the other individual's. It became clear that for those aiming to achieve the David Fincher look on-set, adding a touch more light into the shadows of the actor is essential. Now, my question is, how can I translate your exemplary approach to creating this distinct look into an A-SHOW-LUT or an ON-SET-LUT? I'm eager to incorporate this into my creative process while filming. I apologize for the lengthy comment and question. Best regards, Chuck Gomez 17:27
@4:12 For 8bit color bit, I heard HLG3 has better color room for grading and has lower ISO like 200 around, however the ISO of S-log 3 starts at around 800. which one is right!? Is it the color vs the noise thing?
Can you do a video where you color grade shots from viewers. Im grading a video for my brother shot with the black magic 6K and would love to see how you would do it!
Just realized you've never done a video on film grain without plugins before. like visible grain, not ones where you were too subtle. It be nice to see how you handle it.
I always appreciate getting useful information from your channel. Do you happen to know what elements need to be adjusted when color grading videos shot on an iPhone? I'm not sure how to set up the color space transform settings.
@@theqazman you mean adjustments on future takes, right? Separate the look from the luma adjustments so you can easily copy/paste. Just wanted to know because I usually put tone curve before everything. I only put after if there’s an increase in luma that I put before everything. I know it’s 32-bit float but I don’t like to lighten after I make it darker. Thanks! Great content.
You just got a new subscriber very nice content man, I want to try davinci with this video woooow, do you know canon 5d mark ig how many biytes can record? Like 8 bytes?
I bought the plugin for your video and now I just want my money back, filmbox only works in 1920x1080, it doesn't accept another resolution, I wanted to make a vertical video and it can't
What an honor Qazi, this was a big surprise! thank you for considering my footage!!!!
Your grading is sweet. Maybe too sweet for that scenario, but good-looking nonetheless.
Great work, bro. Appreciate for hooking it up. ❤
is there somewhere i can watch the final product?

Yeah would be really interesting to see this done with strictly davinci stock tools. Thanks Qazi!

It’s amazing how your 8 bit camera scene looks better than that scene from Fight Club. It honestly looks amazing dude.
Ty bro.
It's amazing, you know exactly how much info to give ,and keep the main topic to paid courses
man's got bills.
Surprised how fast and easy you do it. Incredible!!
Thank you.
Ummm ... your end result had a real "wow" factor to it. Tremendous!
That Film Box is expensive as hell. I'd love to see you do this with Dehancer Pro.
It's happening very soon.
I would like to see your 250d version of nodes without using filmbox! This would be awesome to know Qazi :)

Exactly. Not exactly this but it can be good enough.
Awesome!!! This is exactly my camera. So thankful for this content. It's so closer to my reality! Thank you!!! MORE 8-BIT RE-GRADES :))))))
Happy to help. 😀
Nice watch again, seamaster No Time to die! while watching I had to leave this message. still watching :)
Haha. Let's go, bro. ✊🏽

Can you replicate the Kodak 250d without plugins?
yes, with a powergrade. I'll show how on my channel on the next video.

Thanks bro.

nice - thanks for looking after us enthusiasts with no budget for big cameras! GoPro next, please?
Of course and it's on the list.
Another great tutorial brother!❤️
You're showing again that any using plugins/LUTs won't make you a colorist. Primaries are king👑
Thanks for the love as always brother and 💯
That was amazing bro!!!

Is there a plug-in similar to film box that works for premiere?

I'll do a video on that soon.
@@theqazman That's great. Thank u 4 all time.
I am still struggling with Sony Hlg 2 footage. I can't seem to get the colors correct. From my Sony a6600
i shoot slog2 with my a6400, hlg was a pain in the ass for me
Use HLG for low light and slog where you have enough light. Every time I use HLG outside I always end up with blown out highlights.
One question, aside from explaining and maybe organization purposes, is there any reason you separate the nodes from tone curve and the look?
Makes future adjustments easier.

your workflow with dehancer?
^^^ Been waiting for someone to do a deeeep dive on how dehancer can be implemented into ones workflow
exactly, better option for most rather than Filmbox which is WAY over priced and not really a reality for 99% of people.
