I remember in the 90's, my uncle bought a Norman Acoustic Guitar from the local mom and pop shop here. $400. Very plain, oil finish, natural color. THAT guitar was phenomenal. Really really great guitar. It felt, played, sounded, and looked phenomenal. It was like a Martin design. Even the shape of the headstock. I like the Epiphone Hummingbird I have but I really should have checked out what Norman's been up to. I never forgot that. That guitar really stuck. I'd have been confident I could buy any Norman Guitar, and it would perfect.
Just picked up the 2020 ST50 Cherry Burst HG Anthem and glad i made a good choice by the sounds of it. I was going to go with a cut away style but after hearing the sound of the ST50 guitar and the cut out type( ovation) there was no comparison. ST 50 has such a deep rich sound and that's not even plugged in. I know some prefer the cut away body styles but a full body guitar just to me, a much better tone. Very nice guitar.
Wow, styling wise, the Norman brand has really taken a turn from the clean natural looks of its 90s lineup… I play a B20 built in 1993 and it is easily the most beautiful guitar I have owned and seen. Simple and clean design. Sounds and plays better than many new and much more expensive guitars, too!
Please give us a choice of with or without a pickup system. Also, would love to see a cedar top B-20 again. I have one from around '92 and it sounds great and a little differentiated from the spruce tops.
I have an old Norman 6 string that's in need of a lot of work. I bought it used in the late 70s. It has the bolt on neck. Do you do repairs on your old guitars? I'd love to get her back to playing shape again. I've been told by a fellow from the Twelfth Fret Guitar store here in Toronto the the truss rod had collapsed. The wood on the sound board was also de-laminating. If you can let me know if you might be interested in repairing her back to her former glory, that would be great! Thanks! Love your guitars!
@@tasinbaneir4231 I didn't say it was bad. The richlight will most likely last a lot longer than ebony (less chance of cracking and board wear). However, it's not for me...I like my acoustics to be made the traditional way....out of wood.
Norman Guitars was used by many Country & Western stars at the Grand Old Opera In 1970's and by golly That is a Product Endorsement from Professionals. They could of used Martins or Gibsons, but Side by Side comparason made Normon the Winner, Plus Gubsons and Martins are often crap & fall atart, Normons last for Years
Please don't play you new Normand guitars plugged! If you want the realy show how good an acoustic souds, play it naturally, may miked, plus not plugged..please....
god, i love the godin guitar brands. they're an unbelievable value. so well-built and classy. i love both my norman and simon&patrick.

Nice to see! I have one of the originals from 1973.
I have the ST-50 and it is an incredible guitar!
Great work as always. I love hearing you talking about the decisions that went into the guitars.

Great guitars!
IMO - you need endorsers to promote all these beauty
My favourite guitar of all time.
which one?

My only acoustic is a Norman B18 I bought in 2003. It's beat to hell but still going strong.
I love my Art & Lutherie Roadhouse. Now I need that D18 Parlor.
I'm in love with my Norman b70 guitar. It looks like its solid birdseye maple. But i can find nothing at all about it online.
Cheers!
Would really love the b18 parlour to have ivory block inlays
I own Norman B20-12 from later 70'. Guitar has three dimension neck adjustment. I love my baby.

Are you making the mini jumbo for lefties?
Where do these fit in price point vs. Seagull models etc?
and does these come left handed?
i have a norman cut away that i bought in 1995 new it still plays beautifully and it is signed by kris krisstofferson i wouldnt sell it for the world
Why the top of the line is rosewood back and sides and then richtlite fingerboard? Hard to understand
Cheaper than Ebony I guess....but gives an ebony look.
why is that a bad thing?

@@stevebernard221 I recently got a seagull with richlite, I actually prefer to ebony, feels more solid, looks better too. But to each their own.
@@tasinbaneir4231 Hi, what model? I bet it do feel more solid... and I bet that guitar you have sounds good to!
