Don’t forget that the SoundTraxx SoundCar has this and many other railcar sounds inside to help bring the cars sounds to life, including handbrake operations, wheel click, and even a flat-spotted wheel! Greta info, Lance and Thomas!
Thanks for posting a link to my book and website. Simulating setting and releasing the hand brakes adds time to an ops session and helps model railroaders understand how much work a prototype crew has to do to set out and pick up cars.

Thanks for taking the time to put the film together Tom!
Thanks, Lance. Now I have new sounds for the brake wheel set and release. 🙂
In territory with steep grades five cars on each end of the cut had to have their hand brakes set. I read this in an SP timetable years ago.
Does the handbrake set brakes on both trucks or just the truck on the "B" end?
Both ends Roger
