@@MattsOceans because of your videos I have seen the light on Avios as well Thank you so much for the content, you have given me the impetus to get myself some benefits from paying for these flights!
I missed you so much sir! I know cruise ships are not cheap and the available months and destinations are limited but I would love for you to constantly share different cruising experiences on this channel. Good to see you again❤
Hi Matt, so pleased to have u back, well and truly missed, sorry to hear about the trouble you have had in the past year but hope things will get better for you and back to your normal self. Kim and Geoff ps hope your mum is ok xxx
Great to see you back cruising and posting on this channel again. We watched the video and realised we were on the same cruise. We really enjoyed it too, it was our first time on Arvia. We said wouldn't it be strange if we spotted ourselves on your video. Then we did....twice!! We spotted ourselves (from the back) in the Neil Lockwood show in the theatre. Then we saw ourselves sat at the front in the Dean Stansby show in the Club House. They are both fantastic performers, some of the best we have seen on P&O. If you remember, Neil Lockwood was late joining the ship due to weather and only performed on one night. But he was amazing. We got off Arvia and then got on Iona the following day, and so we were delighted that Neil was also on that cruise and did two different shows. Hope your health is keeping in good order. Best wishes for more cruises soon.👍👍
My best compliment I can give you is that I enjoy your vlogs equally to those of Emma (from Emma Cruises)-you both have a similar, bright and positive demeanor (as well as similar taste-she also was very positive about her recent experience on Arvia)
Welcome back, although we still catch up with your adventures on your other channel. We are just off Celebrity Apex - our 6th with Celebrity and our 1st on an Edge class ship . Celebrity food has got a lot better in the last 18 months, so good that we (and many many others) ate in the buffet 7/13 nights - usually it's 1-2 . We have a secret favourite cabin type on Edge class ships now - but there isn't many of them so we are keeping quiet :-) . One thing Celebrity have gone daft on is drinks prices - insanely expensive, the premium package doesn't even include wine that can be picked up relatively easy in the UK for £9 a bottle. It was very easy to bring your own drink on board at the ports if you wanted to as all security seemed to be done in the port just before the Duty Free Shop!
Thanks for that... I had noticed that duty free swerve on a P&O cruise which does seem to undermine the policy a little!!! And I know there are a few traditional balconies on edge class ships - I wonder if that's what you're hinting at!!!
Thanks - I haven't although I saw advertising for a cricket themed cruise with some big names on it so perhaps I should.... A little put off by Emma Cruises experience where they had to cancel the cruise before it left port but after everyone boarded.... Although I think that was an inaugural and the certification wasn't fully in place....
@@MattsOceans yes I think it was an inaugural cruise that was the problem. They have won travel awards since then, I really think it was a one off. My husband and I have done a lot of cruises including MSC and NCL and Ambassador is our favourite! Check them out, would be perfect for your Mum as you can embark at different ports all over the UK
I would highly recommend Celebrity Cruises Matt and Mum. Wheel chair users always have Reserved Tables on their top-deck Buffet Diner called Oceanview Café. They do look after people with disabilities very very well. As usual please travel outside the School Holidays for the best experience.
Thanks Tim - school holidays are a well known no-no!!! We did cruise Celebrity before and immediately after the you-know-what and they were great, but they are quite expensive these days...
The other issue with drinks package and some bars (Anderson’s was our favourite as well ) had limited drinks no way of getting Malibu in Anderson’s or brodies. Even though they took the order and money then came back to say they don’t have that drink🤯
That's a good point - it was all a bit strange. Just cruised Norwegian again and the crew would dash half a ships length and back again to fulfil an order if they didn't have the bottle to hand....
hahahahahaahahah just found this channel matt is this your identical twin that is also called matt lolololololololol im a avid follower of matts planet ..............so now i got this one to follow aswell hope you are in good health
I think I remember this guy!
The bloke with the beard! Winter's here so its coming back...

Thanks! Good to be back! Mum is doing well thanks!
Good to have this channel back and I am glad you still managed to enjoy the ship at times, despite the diagnosis.
Thanks for that
Yay! Matt, glad you’re back! Glad, also, to hear you’re not in any peril, health-wise..
Thanks - peril awaits, but not for many years, fingers crossed
It’s lovely to have you back! Glad you are doing ok and glad you enjoyed Arvia. It’s one of our favourite ships too.
Thanks for the kind words! Got a few videos lined up for you so I hope you enjoy!

Oh that guy who does cruise videos... and no other transport videos... I remember him
He's a bit dull, isn't he???
So glad you are ok Matt! Have you tried Ambassador cruises? They cruise from the UK and are wonderful
