Air France Flight 4590 Crash 2

Air France Flight 4590 was an international charter flight of Air France, from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, flown by an Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde. On the afternoon of Tuesday, 25 July 2000, at 16:44:31 local time (UTC 14:44:31), the aircraft serving the flight (registration F-BTSC) ran over debris on the runway during takeoff, blowing a tyre, which threw chunks of tyre into the underside of the left wing and into the landing gear bay with great force.

Air France Flight 4590 took place on July 25th, 2000. The Aircraft was a Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde registered as F-BTSC. The pilots were Captain Christian Marty (Age 53) he had 13,477 flight time hours. First Officer Jean Marcot (Age 50) he had 10,035 flight time hours, and Flight Engineer Gilles Jaurdinaud (Age 58) he had 12,532 flight time hours. The aircraft was 24 years old, and was purchased by Air France January 6th, 1976. The plane was at Charles De Gaulle International Airport in France, Paris taking off on RW26R. Before Continental Airlines flight 55 took off, it was a DC-10-30 and it left a piece of rubber 435 millimeters long. As Flight 4590 took off the rubber overheated from the plane and caused a fire on engine 1, and 2. They reduced the throttle and acceleration on Engine 3, and 4 but stalled out because of deceleration and not enough speed for lift. The plane stalled out and crashed into a Hotel killing all 109 occupants onboard. There were also 4 ground deaths and 6 ground injuries.
