Superfoot Bill Wallace. So, here is a guy with a career ending injury while in Judo. Seriously. He takes that, and works around it into a unique style and became one of the best full contact kickboxers in the world at the time. Just amazing.
Let's take this one step further, he hppoed into a Karate dojo and said" I can't use this leg, can you still train me?" his new found master said,"yes, lineup. Ok, 1000 kicks left leg...after the 1000 kicks he said 100 kicks right leg. then looks at Bill and says, Not You. You stay on left leg" Imagine that as your first class? If I had been thrown that in high school, I would have been like "Challenge Accepted", but I started Karate in College and would have been like..."If a man can't walk to class, he will drop out of engineering like everyone else, must leave training with you for now...hmm what else can I do...Video game club, that looks safe"
After I received my black belt I went to a tournament in Rockford Illinois where I met Bill Wallace and Joe Lewis and also Chuck Norris these three men inspired me to work harder to just try to be a better kicker oh I also got there autograph bad ass dudes I did come home with a bronze metal in sparring I will always cherish that time in my life
This comment is to F22 Videos: A MASSIVE THANK YOU for presenting these videos on Bill Wallace. I only discovered this yesterday. They are tremendous. So inspiring, informative and sensible. Thank you. Thank you 🙏 👊 🥋
Thank you for bringing this video back 🙂. To this day (in 2020), this is still my favorite instructional video of Bill "Super Foot" Wallace. I hope this video is never removed again. This video is a great way to introduce Mr. Wallace to each new generation. This video would make a nice touch to his legacy.
Met and trained with him and his people at a few seminars over the years. He's an immensely talented and professional person! True Champion and warrior!
Mr Wallace is a true gentleman and a martial arts legend. A fantastic role model for our youth and a great ambassador for Martial Arts! He also happens to be a fantastic practitioner who has adapted his style to fit his body strengths and weaknesses. He has been doing this before Bruce Lee advised martial artists to adapt style to fit your individuality. I am 66yrs old and have been training since my mid-teens, Wing Chun, TKD and Shotokan but my personal secret for longevity, is that I went to India for a few years and studied Yoga. I do a 30min to 1 hr. yoga stretching, relaxation and breathing routine every morning, keeps me flexible and relaxed! From this comes speed and power!
Trained with him at a seminar in Thorne near Doncaster in England, kicked me in the face, brilliant !!!!! He was so bloody fast, his kicks were so fluid. And super powerful, power in kicks (and most strikes actually) comes from speed and if you don't think so 'throw' a bullet at someone see what damage it does. Really nice bloke too. If he came over to do another seminar i'd definitely go. .
Wallace has a degree in body mechanics/ kinetics which means he knows how the body works, muscles involved, etc.the fact that he is in great physical shape is a testament to his amazing ability.i read where he& Chuck Norris tied in 2nd place in a national poll of greatest karate fighters of all time.also, I thought it was so grand he, Howard Jackson, Don Wilson& the late Joe Lewis were on Walker Texas Ranger back in 2000, great tribute show for those guys!

SO YOU know, I talked to Joe Lewis 20 years back and he explained why Wallace reacted harshly when NORRIS, LEWIS, and Mike Stone were in his corner. Apparently someone rinsed his mouth piece with mouthwash, when they put it back in his mouth, because of micro abrasion and such in the mouth, it hurt. I had always wondered what happened, AND HE TOLD ME this story before I could even ask. I explained to him I saw him in the corner with Norris and Stone, and then he told me he had a funny story and explained what happened. SO COOL! BEST KICKERS IN THE WORLD 1980's. same here, thanks for posting this , it's good that you were able to preserve the quality of this video. the influence of Superfoot can be seen on my kicks
Back when I was a young man it always amused me to see the Bill Superfoot Wallace technique books in the local martial arts shop. Unless your name happens to be Bill Superfoot Wallace it is highly unlikely that you could ever learn to kick like him. Amazing MA icon he is.
Me and bill wallace is very alike we are both orthodox and we both kick with the left leg and this video will improve my left leg kicking ability even more! i love this man truly amazing
I don't know how many people know this, but did you ever notice that Bill Wallace was one of the greatest kickboxers of all time, and only ever used one leg. He had a bad knee in the other, so he just used that for his base. On another note, I wish all of my opponents had a fighting stance like his assistant. Would make my life a hell of alot easier :)
En el año 1998 conoci al sr Wallace en el Torneo The Batle of the Atlanta . Un maestro hasta el dia de hoy con casi 49 años usos sus tecnica que nos dio a Varios Practicantes
I saw you fight in 1975 I trained hard around the world you are the man vet 100 knockouts later you still the man than la for teaching me I have a bad knee I trained to fight like you
Dont compare people. This is better or that is better, relax, the individual is more important than any style, take what you like and learn from everybody. Dont be close minded to anything especially martial arts, I believe almost everyone has something to offer.
I hope there are UFC/MMA fans that will see this. Pay attention little boys, this is what a true Martial Artist looks like. A man who can execute a kick (ANY KICK) with proper form, technique, and balance. Not to mention ultimate flexibility. Unlike all the average, un-talented/un-skilled bums who are known as "Great fighters" and/or "Great Martial Artists" in the UFC and other MMA competitions. lol smh Please.
Well, just because someone is not into Martial Arts does not mean that they are not great fighters. If you think about it, the Martial Arts came from real fighting. Over the many years, allot f it has been watered down and made to be more of a show that a real "Martial Art". I do not look down upon anyone who has the guts to step into the octagon or ring. I was a bar room brawler before I was a martial artist and I can tell you that allot of "martial arts" would never work in a real fight. Thanks.
carlos Vargas Carlos Vergas ... Shut your mouth. the key word is fighters. Most flexible martial arts are what they are... Martial artists.. Doesn't mean they are fighters. not everyone has the heart to step inside the cage and fight during stressed conditions... Include yourself in that category.
Jason Rutibager Also some of us more traditional style practitioners simply want nothing to do with cage/mma anything. We like to keep it old school, and belts give a sense of achievement, which is good for misguided teens/adults. MMA more just teaches you how to want to tear someones head off, we're not into that. In Taekwondo we train for peace and justice, among other things, not bloodsport.
bro.. you're years late i be been on bill wallace. i love this though. this one is new to me but ive been watching him for a while... and don't think a fan need to watch this....

Tend to almost agree (J Farrow). But only with the caveat that those blokes..I was around then- competing- that they would train as necessary to meet present MMA components of skill. I have no doubt all those you mentioned would be very successful in MMA as they were champions then and very determined fighters. Id also add that of those mentioned, Id pick 2 off the bat that given their skills then , say by 1975, would give any top fighter at present a big handful of worry now, and probably beat most of them also...because both Joe Lewis and Wallace were also very good grapplers, Lewis being *very strong* in addition. Urquidez also would have beat many MMA fighters today just with striking skills, in my opinion, and Id be tempted to add a few more from the 'golden age' that had tremendous striking skills and timing along with Urquidez in that respect, like Jeff Smith, Havanas, Howard Jackson, McCallum. In summary, champions then would probably be champions now, and likewise very good fighters now would probably also do well if they time travelled to the past..just my considered opinion of course.
I love Bill Wallace. He is one of the coolest guys I ever encountered in my martial arts journeys. People may not realize he was the wrestling, Judo, boxing as well as Karate coach at Memphis State University. Believe me. His abilities are not limited to kicking. He competed in events where, grappling, throws and ground fighting were allowed. The only thing that is changed by mma is the unlimited time for ground fighting. Most tourneys that allowed scoring from the floor limited it from 5 to thirty seconds. So, when I fought Bill in an exhibition at the convention center in Nashville it was so much fun. You can read about the details in My Book Tang Soo Do: Self Defense Secret. But, I will share these tips: Circle to his left (blindside) Never stop moving your feet. The one moment when I stopped flatfooted was when "Superfoot" Hooked me between the eyes. I literally blinked and missed the whole kick. When my eyes opened all I saw was his kick bouncing off as my head was snapping back. But, the smartest thing I did was circle to his left, never stepping in front of his round kick. He can't chase you down with the hook kick moving backwards. But, with the roundhouse kick he can. I hung out with him for a week after the fight and helped out with several seminars before we drove to Memphis in a car Elvis had given him. He told me he had patterned his speed kicking style after another legend Mike Warren who he once defeated with an invisible kick to the head. Noone in the the building saw it except Mike Warren. The judges didn't react or see it until it was replayed on the new technology of the day called video.
15:47 Nice protection for a punch.....perfect view of the balls.... great target for a low punch dropping down or a round kick...good by balls...hello knock down...please to meet you pain..."Which way did my balls fly ?" ..."Hi emerge doctor I'm Bill Balless and I have crushed balls"...did you know where my left ball went ??...
His kicks were still blindingly fast. You'd never see his kicks coming. Imagine what he was like in his prime. :) Probably one of the best kickers in the sport of all time. If not near the best. Bruce Lee might have been better. Difference is Bill was a competitor. Ring proven.
Disagree with your statement. Apparently you've haven't seen those kicking experts on the Korean Tae Kwon Do Olympic team, they'd change your mind. Wallace is great in what he does no doubt, but the guys I'm referring to can use either leg to do a variety of kicks (Side, roundhouse, hook, crescent, front, back, cricket, axe, etc...) with speed and power.
He kicked me in the head about 4 years ago, never saw it coming. Bruce was an actor first, and like he says,"Boards no hit back" Bruce was fast and freakishly strong for his size, a major contributor to the modern arts, but there are also a lot of things he wasn't.
He still is alive.dont know how much his lessons are, probably have to go through a mess of red tape, security measures,& get documentation from the Pentagon to train with him.oh,& it helps to maybe to have an income in the tens of thousands, as I'm sure his lessons aren't cheap.
If you are executing mawashi geri (round house kick) the instep or the ball of the foot is used. If you are executing aura-mawashi geri (reverse round house or hook kick) the heel should be used. OSU
My friend's kicks are somewhat similar, although he has a unique technique for the roundhouse kick, where he sort of throws his leg up at a painfully slow speed, honestly slower than a slow motion video, and then he sort of wildly grasps for anything to hold on to, in order to steady himself, like a door handle, the refrigerator, another person, his dog, etc., then he almost always falls over.
if u watched the biography of Bruce Lee he was always challenged to a real fight in Hong Kong while making movies and his friends and even his wife said Bruce Lee just didn't knock the person down he kicked there ass and if u know bolo young who was in Bruce Lee's movie enter the dragon also challenged Bruce Lee to a fight while enter the dragon was being made so there for Bruce Lee knew his shit and anyone who trained with Bruce would tell ya Bruce Lee was very fast
Combat man thanks for the heads up I guess that I got fooled again....Although I still think that Bruce Lee is unbeatable....Take a look at Jerry Trimble..quite impressive fighter.
I definitely prefer Muay Thai kicks to Karate/TKD becuase they are more designed to devastate whatever they hit (due to the use of shin as appose to foot). Though this mans technique is flawless and very impressive. I do use the side kick quite often as it can be very damaging.
he is a world champion, respect. is true that being sideways is bad , however watch videos taekwondo vs muay thai and all of you guys will see that kicks that Wallace use work .
True Story: Wallace allowed me to be in his kicking demonstration seminar in 1991. I held a match in my teeth and Wallace was suppose to strike the match with a roundhouse. He made an audible and decided to ax kick the match, but kicked so high and so fast the friction in the air created gasoline. Unseen to the human eye, his kick forced my mouth open, made me ingest a pint of gasoline, struck the match, flicked it into my mouth, thus setting my insides on fire. Other than that, “Superfoot” is a very nice guy.
his hip replacement were from the fact that he tried to take his flexiblity past just the splits on the floor...or an oversplit, he once said to me that he wised he had never tried so hard to get that overspilt so quickly...i`ve trained and fought for almost 20yrs and i`ve never felt anything that comes close to the amount of power this man has put into those 3 kicks. Plus he has a Master`s Degree in Human Body Movement or Kinesiology. Plus think of all those Fights he fought over 22 matches ;)
How do you train to get that speed in your kicks ? im 35 and just got back into martial arts and my techniques are coming together good but i cant seem to speed my kicks up , any help would be greatly appreciated
Hello Bill Wallace I think you know me my name is Daniel king and I go to Kung Fu every Thursday evening. I can do different types of kick's and punches
You would not see Bruce Lee Punches or Kicks if he attack you. Like Jackee Chan said Bruce Lee is too fast to fight. Bruce Lee is the rarest of the rare Birds and he was the most physical and mentally fit martial Artist the world have seen. He was second to none in combat. Jim Kell said Bruce Lee is unbelievable when he spared with many martial arts Master and maintain in the early 2000 that no living master of martial arts can stand a chance against Bruce Lee when he was alive. Captain Jesus Incarnated Son of Jesus Christ God of gods END OF LINE
Bill Wallace was a guest teacher At yosikan karate school in Covington Kentucky Many years ago,His fighting Ability was unmatched...Even chuck Norris could not Beat Him .
Wonder boy knocks UFC fighters out with these kinds of kicks and he’s not even close to the level that Superfoot was. Imagine modern UFC fighters with his level of kicking ability.

Bill was one of the best kickers of his time I wish I could of train with him when he was living.
He's still living! Jesse Enkamp (Karate Nerd) has spent some time with him this year doing seminars etc.
He still is alive.dont know how much his lessons are, probably have to go through a mess of red tape, security measures,& get documentation from the Pentagon to train with him.oh,& it helps to maybe to have an income in the tens of thousands, as I'm sure his lessons aren't cheap.
Espectacular gran Maestro
awesome technique!
A fieldmarshall (or General of the Army) of kicking...sehr gut und richtig!
For me Bill Wallace and Chuck Norris forever super stars of Martial arts.
Your style is very similar to Bruce Lee's.
Thanks! A true master / legend.
When doing a round house or hook kick, what part of the foot are you hitting the target with to be most effective?
If you are executing mawashi geri (round house kick) the instep or the ball of the foot is used. If you are executing aura-mawashi geri (reverse round house or hook kick) the heel should be used. OSU
My friend's kicks are somewhat similar, although he has a unique technique for the roundhouse kick, where he sort of throws his leg up at a painfully slow speed, honestly slower than a slow motion video, and then he sort of wildly grasps for anything to hold on to, in order to steady himself, like a door handle, the refrigerator, another person, his dog, etc., then he almost always falls over.
Still watching this in 2018.
Fenomenal Teaching ability....
15:08 🤣😭 dead
if u watched the biography of Bruce Lee he was always challenged to a real fight in Hong Kong while making movies and his friends and even his wife said Bruce Lee just didn't knock the person down he kicked there ass and if u know bolo young who was in Bruce Lee's movie enter the dragon also challenged Bruce Lee to a fight while enter the dragon was being made so there for Bruce Lee knew his shit and anyone who trained with Bruce would tell ya Bruce Lee was very fast
Combat man thanks for the heads up I guess that I got fooled again....Although I still think that Bruce Lee is unbeatable....Take a look at Jerry Trimble..quite impressive fighter.
Eddie Miller r
Do t you hit with your heal
It’s devastating getting hit with the heel in the hook kick
I definitely prefer Muay Thai kicks to Karate/TKD becuase they are more designed to devastate whatever they hit (due to the use of shin as appose to foot). Though this mans technique is flawless and very impressive. I do use the side kick quite often as it can be very damaging.
Great stuff 👍
My black belt instructor worked with this man!
he is a world champion, respect.
is true that being sideways is bad , however watch videos taekwondo vs muay thai and all of you guys will see that kicks that Wallace use work .
pretty fast foot there william
Superb master
True Story:
Wallace allowed me to be in his kicking demonstration seminar in 1991.
The hook kick is my holy grail of knock outs
his hip replacement were from the fact that he tried to take his flexiblity past just the splits on the floor...or an oversplit, he once said to me that he wised he had never tried so hard to get that overspilt so quickly...i`ve trained and fought for almost 20yrs and i`ve never felt anything that comes close to the amount of power this man has put into those 3 kicks. Plus he has a Master`s Degree in Human Body Movement or Kinesiology. Plus think of all those Fights he fought over 22 matches ;)
LEGEND!!!!!!
What if I use mua Thai round house kick
Awesome, bill is a legend!
hey bill. i got your telegraph from 40 years ago. your going to kick me with that left leg
You would not see Bruce Lee Punches or Kicks if he attack you.
Like Jackee Chan said Bruce Lee is too fast to fight. Bruce Lee is the rarest of the rare Birds and he was the most physical and mentally fit
martial Artist the world have seen.
He was second to none in combat. Jim Kell said Bruce Lee is unbelievable when he spared with many martial arts Master and
maintain in the early 2000 that no living master of martial arts can stand a chance against Bruce Lee when he was alive.
Captain Jesus Incarnated Son of Jesus Christ God of gods
END OF LINE
Bill Wallace was a guest teacher At yosikan karate school in Covington Kentucky Many years ago,His fighting Ability was unmatched...Even chuck Norris could not Beat Him .
+Eddie Miller Chuck Norris studied martial arts with Bill too. Anyway even Bruce Lee would have been in trouble with Mr.Wallace in my humble opinion.
23:30 bill shows the hook kick faint, to round house kick, it's so fast you can barely even see the faint, nice.
I wish I had thisinfo in the seventies
I want to support Mr. Wallace where can get these videos?
Still how many guys in the UFC that can do that and knock someone out with a hook kick/roundhouse kick combo from the lead leg ?
Stephen wonderboy Thompson?
Wonder boy knocks UFC fighters out with these kinds of kicks and he’s not even close to the level that Superfoot was. Imagine modern UFC fighters with his level of kicking ability.
The very best fighter ever. Much better than point fighter chucky actor norris
