    I think every single one of us cried for Dan Espinoza.
    Lucifer is doing this now for the love he had for Detective Douche, and to bring him out of hell and all others who don't deserve it. That's what I take comfort in.
    Be warned, the last episode was done during the pandemic restrictions, so there maybe some scaledowns. Nevertheless it's good.
    This entire season has been about family and emotions, some ppl haven't liked it, but I did because that's what Lucifer has always been about.

      @@SleepyWaffles There have only been a handful of times in my life I've ever really cried - is just not who I am. I get sad of course like everyone does but I rarely shed a tear. From the moment Trixie walked into that hospital room until a good way into the next episode I was shedding tears. As you said, all the actors really acted the heck out of that & they way it was filmed/cut/ directed made it feel real which added to it. I didn't like it but it the same time I had to admire the fact that they got me to cry over a character I didn't really like the first season.

    I cried a lot when I watched this episode the first time, and I cried again now watching your reaction. The moment that gets me every time is Lucifer not being able to lie to Trixie. It's just heartbreaking.

    I realized a few things, watching your reaction:
    + How much of the _"Lucifer experience"_ I missed by *binge watching* season 5B in one day. I especially missed the *suspense* that you experienced. Almost anything suspenseful was resolved in less than an hour of actual viewing time.
    + Having watched Season 6, I realized how clever the plot line was. Season 6 was, essentially, the season that was never supposed to be. Season 5 was written to be the final season, and was not changed in any way to fit into a sixth season.

      Personally, I think all these shows releasing in binge format kinda takes a little bit of the magic away. I feel like tv shows are meant to have those moments of suspense and waiting each week

    Lucifer cares for the first time that the system doesn't work. Good people shouldn't go to hell for past guilt. In all the millennia that Lucifer was king of hell, he never cared how the system worked, but now he does. being God, he could change the system.

    • @SleepyWaffles
      @SleepyWaffles  2 года назад +2

      Lol key word is sometimes. I think it's just the procedural nature of the show. Shows with a "case of the week" can be hard to react to. They don't often provide much to talk about after, and in the case of Lucifer, when everything else going on is so much more important and engaging, having a case of the week feels unnecessary and uninteresting

      @@SleepyWaffles well season 6 is supposed to break the procedural aspect from what has been told about it so maybe it will be your favorite season yet! Season 3 can be painful I will give you that 😂 long and a lot of fillers it really drags!

    This had be especially hard for Chloe. Not only was Dan the father of her child, but now her daughter had to go through the same pain she went through when her dad was killed as a cop.

    I don't like this episode, but anyways it was great.
    I had the same reaction as you watching it for the first time. Yes, I also never cried at the death of show hero before, that were like my first tears.
    Sad fact that Kevin Alexandro wanted from his character to die like that. This season was supposed to be the last, so that was like the end of Dan's character arc, and he was supposed to reunite in Heaven with Charlotte. But decision to make one more season changed it a bit.
    So we will see Dan like in a one episode of the last season, maybe in Hell, maybe...
