Imagine being Eclipse here. You've just taken down the only thing capable of stopping you... and then as you continue your path of destruction, that thing *gets back up and starts rushing at you at fucking mach 5.*
1: I heard the Punch Out parts are actually called PunchOut in the game files.
2: It's amazing to see how this game evolved. It went from a tournament to a Planet Saving Operation. I only arrived at this community at v5, but it is still, amazing. MUCH more than amazing. Perfect.

I love how Eclipse's idle animation you can see as its health bar is filling up almost looks like it's breathing. Really sells how unnatural this thing is compared to the mechanical foes you've fought up until now.

It was at this point Oliver remembered all the things he did..
HE won the tournament
HE destroyed gamma
HE humbled Bass
HE destroyed evil robot
HE stopped King
HE defeated the genesis unit
HE got light's robots back to their senses
HE stopped roboenza
HE defeated the stardroids
...It was too late to back down
This battle is going to end one of two ways...and Oliver is going to make it his way...by destroying eclipse for good.

So from what I understand about the MC/Maestro:
Maestro may not exactly be a name, but a robot model type that seems to share the same characteristics as the New Gen Reploids from MMX7-X8: Being able to change their image to anything, hence why the MC will revert back to Maestro after Eclipse is launched into the sun with Gamma MK. II and ejects himself from the machine.
Since this is a fan game, it works fine, but I think that would be an interesting concept if it was canon, like the New-Gen Reploids were based off Maestro's Abilities and design~

Yeah, like humanity was experimenting with robots that could change appearance or abilities depending on the task required of them. Sounds interesting.
Maybe the humans in 21XX found Ra Moon and used some of it’s tech to make the New Gen Reploids’ copy chips...who knows?

Y'know, I thought that the most that this update was going to bring was 2 simple campaign chapters that were similar to the ones before it, new weapons, maps & skins, etc. This update though, it exceeded my expectations in a way I didn't even think they would do. This entire battle, while not my favorite of all of the bosses in the campaign, definitely feels like a fitting final boss to this amazing game.
Also, am I the only one that thinks the Coldman Side plot was absolutely adorable? I loved the encounter the player has with them in the scene before they get to gamma's chamber.
I calculated, and it took 34 seconds for Gamma MK.II and Eclipse to collide with the sun, starting with their initial ascent. It takes light roughly 499 seconds to travel from the Sun to Earth. Assuming a constant velocity and the cutscene played out in real time, Oliver/Maestro, Gamma, and Eclipse were travelling at *14.676 times the speed of light.*
Oliver/Maestro collapsed shortly after, but you would too if you were clawed to smithereens, got back up through sheer force of will, punched the Death Star several dozen times, and travelled at nearly 15 times the speed of light to hurl the essence of evil into the sun.
Oliver/Maestro ejected at 27 seconds, leaving them approximately 79.4% of the distance from the sun, or 188,410,315.6 kilometers, or 117,072,742.4 miles. It took Sunstar roughly 4 seconds to bridge this gap versus the 7 it took Gamma, meaning that he travelled roughly 75% faster, marking his speed as *_25.7 TIMES LIGHT SPEED._* However, he took a longer route, meaning that he may have been going faster. Regardless, he soon slowed down, as it was autumn by the time the two landed, while there were no signs of such in the game itself.

You neglected to account for time dilation! They could very well have still been going at a fraction of light speed, just a significant fraction!

funny thing about Gamma-Plus....Gamma-2?...whatever you wanna call it.
the one attack that does more damage than any other to it is the claw swipes from the PunchOut phase. after all this upgrading and rebuilding, Gamma has the same exact weakness as from 10 years ago: *Powerful Close Range Attacks*

what I find interesting was that when maestro was taken down by eclipse, he heard a voice telling him not to give up. I think that voice was duo's spirit or his energy.
I was extremely happy to find out that the Genesis Unit wasn't dead
Can't say the same about Terra. Good riddance though.
Holy Zero on a motherscrapping Mecha Dragon, that was AWESOME! CutmanMike really went all out with this! I just feel like a missed opportunity was with the scene where Maestro heard Duo start speaking to him, where, to really complete the fact it was a perfect mirror to the scene in Chapter 11, where Maestro got infected and started hallucinating the Evil Robot talking to him, as you got back into gameplay, there should’ve a text box that said something like:
(Player’s name): *This* is what I was made for!
Other than that...awesome finale, and amazing gameplay as always, Oliver!
This was such an epic final boss, especially in the last part.
What an end to Version 6.
That reminded me of the dark gaia boss battle from Sonic Unleashed, and i'll miss Duo
Also, that fight was damn-near the most Shonen thing I've ever seen.
You know, I just noticed something. When Sunstar fades away into nothing, his head gem falls to the ground instead of going along with him. If they do make a mm11 chapter, something tells me that gem might have something to do with the plot.
Even the health bars are menacing.
What an amazing ending to an equally amazing game.
You thought you were playing as Oliver the whole time, but it was I, Maestro!

Gonna be honest, I'm kinda disappointed that this won't be the ending. Not only was Megaman 10 the planned finale for over half the game's development, but also nothing will top this. You're quite literally fighting an eldritch horror which you punt into the sun, and you expect a better finale to just appear for Megaman 11 with no buildup at all? Eclipse had buildup, because the Evil Robot was already a character. It's a rematch on a much larger scale. What could top this, genuinely? Unless MM11 serves as no more than an epilogue, I have no idea how they'll pull this off.
Really cool update though, can't wait for Eclipse to haunt my nightmares for the next week

even though I'd be down for Unlimited Zero as a secret boss. defeating it merely has Wily going along the lines of "Not finished yet, needs fine-tuning"

It would just feel cliche to end it all with him.
But, I feel they should try to have their own take on Zero should they decide to do it. It would be another way to truly make this game unique.
I'd love to see them try something with Zero, but I completely understand why they wouldn't do it.
The only boss that makes sense to end with is Wily. What I think could happen is this: Wily. Fucking. Wins. He incapacitates the blue bomber, possibly even converts him to his side, takes over Gamma MK II, and finally wins. Then, we have to do the impossible and beat down Wily at his absolute peak.
Now THAT'S a finale. An epic finish to a great story, plus final boss-worthy music to boot.
Capcom should hire CutmanMike and the rest of the MM8BDM team.
Imagine they decide to make a mm8bdm 2 (well officially ot would be called 1 cuz it's the official release) and they have every robot master from the games true to their games and they all have their own powers.

Here's a cute little tidbit. If you dash past everyone and head for the room preceding the final room, you'll Cold Man walking down the pathway between the two doors, he'll see you, flinch, and run through the door on his right.
I actually have seen a screenshot of that before, but haven't really done it myself before. (and probably won't be either way)

the player characters creator..who is it?
we see a robot after the defeat of gamma who looks like megaman X but for all we know could even be the players creator
duo and the eclipse/evil energy...where did it come from? duo tells us a little bit before the battle with the alien robot but it still leaves many unanswered questions
i think things aren't truely finished yet for the megaman 8bit deathmatch series
for all we know there could be a whole alien planet full of the evil energy and that the evil energy is just a sign of things to come
theres also what the king says "there are still many who need saving"

Mega Man 11 stuff, and probably the forgotten Mega Man and Bass 2: Challenger from the Future (MaGMML2 knows it exists)
Mega Man & Bass 2 is probably not going to happen, as Mega Man 11 is going to be the final update for this game.
Although, if you want to see MM&B2 content (maybe other rom hacks and/or fangames) in MM8BDM, I suggest checking out Fr3ak's Non-Canon Classes server on Discord.

So that's the end of the game, tbh, this final battle is one of the best of the game, and Oliver, you did awesome in the battle, Eclipse is no more
If CutmanMike were to top this, he would have to add in characters not from the Mega Man Classic series and go beyond the initial design of the game: a fight between all the classic Mega Man characters. NOTHING can top that then. But if Capcom were to make a Mega Man 12... ohhhh no, I think we might have a few issues with that.
I think that’s inevitable at this point. But we reached a good stopping point with V6, and i wouldn’t be disappointed if Mike and crew stopped here

When I see the end sign in the game I waited for something if it will show anything for v7 or mega man 11 expansion but nothing happened the only v7 hint Is the mesh together and grind my gears in wilys letter or its just something wily would say
So I guess mega man 11 would be forgotten and left to rot and not be in other fan games (mega man maker and last chronicles doesn't count)

There will be another once they work on V7 (Mega Man 11), but that might be planned next year or another.

I'm pretty sure it's designed to rensemble his look in the comics, but it also makes sense considering Trio just jumped at his face, and the flames make sense considering he was just casually thrown at the sun

My only answer is that the pose happens once you beated the game for the first time. I might be wrong about that.
I have beaten Eclipse once, and I can vouch that the pose is a postchapter thing.
