There are more like her such as Gerrie Nel etc...they come from the correct mentorship,the right experience of constantly fighting for good and not selling out...unfortunately we only see them in action in situation like this(Media often shows political mishaps and failures but the good work which is very very scarce here is almost never reflected mostly because people never end up in court or get sentenced)...they are often shunted with intimidation and are even silenced by being killed.
We just need to stop accepting things as acceptable....we have been fooled for too long by very powerful individuals in our government.
This is only an inquiry...we need to see accountability in court,the puppeteers need to be exposed and brought down publically the same goes for those rogue individuals at EKSOM(we know its not all of them).

No he knows her. The NPA tried to fire her and accused her of wrong doing and it took 5 years for her to clear her name. They wanted to get rid of her because she wasn't corrupt. Minister Lamola is undeniably responsible for the prison systems being so disfunctional. He has done nothing to change the situation with gang members, harming of wardens, prisoners sleeping on floors with food a dog won't eat. How can prisoners be reformed when the system is so corrupt. How can he be shocked when wardens are partaking in illegal stuff. When prisoners can escape? When vehicles are going in and out without supervision? When prisoners awaiting his signature for parole for over 3 years, served their sentence buy atr still not released. There is much more than Bester issues, that are occurring in prisoners. How dare he laugh in such a serious case

The fact that a Parliamentary Committee was convened to deliberate about an escape, is a disgrace. Correctional Services and the Police are in state of disfunction. Parliament has taken nearly 5 years to complete the Cannabis Bill and close to a million people have been arrested since 2018 judgment, yet this is not seen as worthy of hauling the Min of Police and Justice, before The Portfolio Committee. Probably because the Portfolio Committee themselves are negligent in this regard. This would be a outcryin any decent democracy but because the victims are undesirable, this conducts allowed to slide. Dispicable.
