- I have heard horror stories about changing glow plugs on these engines, but once we got to the glow plugs they came out fairly easily. #bmwglowplugs #glowplugreplacement

Think I'll be cleaning the black stains off for a while, it's almost like it's permanent.
It’s a good feeling when they free off easily! Another great video Ben 👍👍
Nice one Ben, good effort!
Great job done Ben! Very entertaining video …loved it 👍😀
Good job Ben!😊
What about one of those spray cans (wynns?) of EGR cleaner down the EGR/manifold? Not just a pressure wash?
I have seen them, not sure how good they are. Manifold had to come off any way, so I cleaned it out old school.
@@Bensgarage hub nut yt channel seemed to have some success recently.
@@davidwilliams2474 I think a lot depends on how bad it is, if it's just the egr thats dirty then yes it would probably work. But the state this manifold was in, don't think any spray would work. I had it sat in diesel for most of the day and that barely softened it up.
Man, I'd have blanked off those swirl flaps, just for the fact that they become brittle and will fall into the combustion chamber, writing that engine off. Personally wouldn't bother with the egr delete though, a bit of maintenance will keep it going good.
If it were my car, then yes I would have also done the swirl flap delete. My dad didn't want to do any mods.
How many miles were on it at time of filming mate?
Not sure, think it was about 150K.
BMW wtf
We fix all sorts here.
