I just had a SME forward a bunch of old emails with needed fixes this week, including a link to the Dropbox folder... there's 20 courses in Dropbox that we have to figure out where the feedback goes to which slide. Those are hours we have to bill for and I would rather bill her just development time, not searching for stuff in these courses!!! Knowing specifically which slide and what edit is needed is awesome. Anyway, thanks for sharing this Paul! You are keeping the eLearing community and SMEs sane, one course at a time!!! Love your tutorials!

Paul, love your tutorials! Just came across this looking for a solution for this very issue, and it’s great! One quick question. Do you happen to know if they support multi scorm (modules) courses? Thanks so much! Keep up the great work!

Hi Paul, Awesome video as usual! Out of curiosity, do you have any tips or suggestions for how to make very dry, boring material more interactive and engaging for learners? For example, if the objective is to read an operator's manual, how would you recommend spicing that up so it isn't just reading an operator's manual and answering a couple questions? Any thoughts or experiences you've had that you'd like to share would be appreciated!
Instead of teaching your learners by simply reading the big boring document, why not give them a search-and-learn activity. Provide them the PDF of the document and teach them how to look up what they need to know. Test their ability to use the operator's manual by asking them to look up various procedures, facts and specifications. Using question pools with randomly selected questions makes it unique for each user and different if they return to the training at a later date.
Great site/concept! Just signed up. Here's a question for you regarding the site tour they provide. I know you like a challenge. ;) I really like how the highlight boxes seem to flow from one section to the other along with their text captions. Do you know if there is a way to recreate this type of effect in Captivate?
@@CaptivateTeacher Yep, I got that part, thank you. Perhaps I just need to play with the transitions for the highlight boxes themselves. In the tour, they appear to move seamlessly from one section to another resizing as they go. It looks like a smooth transition of a single object, but I guess it would be separate objects just timed to appear as one. I'll play with it. As always, thank you!

As always Paul a great tutorial. This would have been a great asset on a recent contract. Do you know if this site works with other eLearning tools? Many thanks
Additional authoring tools such as Storyline and Lectors should all work so long as you publish with SCORM compliancy turned on. Check out their documentation for further details
Hi Susan, Here is a list and we are adding new tools all the time. support.reviewmyelearning.com/support/solutions/articles/5000604885-what-authoring-tools-work-with-reviewmyelearning-
I don't make my courses public for others to review. Mainly because the course when they are finished is all owned by the client who hires me in the first place. You should be able to find examples. Review My eLearning has a sister site called Course Portfolios where you might find some other people's examples. courseportfolios.com/
Your Vlog is really useful, do you have a link to a video showing how to add colour to objects, for kids e-learning activities (colour the pictures and join the dots)
@@CaptivateTeacher Thank you so much, you are really helpful, I have been able to accomplish my task out of the example you demonstrated, you are a hero.
I like this I am just wondering how easy it is to remove the lesson after it has been reviewed. With my company their are proprietary concerns as I am sure there are with other companies and I wouldn’t want to leave my lessons up for very long. I think I am in a little different situation than some of the other folks that would use this as I actually don’t contract I work for the company I do lessons for. Any thoughts on this would be helpful for me to see if we could use this or if there is another way to do it besides having everyone crowd around my computer that would be great. 😊
You can control who has access to the course so you can send it only to people within your organization. You can set it up to require your reviewers to log in to Review My eLearning rather than just creating a public link. Once you are done you can simply hit the Delete button but remember you may want to keep a record of that feedback in case it comes back and haunts you in the future.
We are very security conscious as we have a lot of banks, fortune 500 companies, and government agencies on the platform. As Paul said, you can lock it down as much as you want. And when you delete a course (which is easy) then it is gone. Plus you can export all the comments to excel so you have them after you delete it.
Paul Wilson Adobe Captivate Tutorials thank you Paul this looks like it might give me a good way to get my reviews. I really appreciate all the videos you do too so please keep it up. I learn a lot from them. 😊
Part B, Iwould assume. This was noted by one of my team members and looks like a great reason to stay away from this product. If your information is at all proprietary, you are allowing the provider to keep it and do whatever they want with it. As good as the product seems, this would make it very unattractive to some users. But great video as usual.
@@davebrennan6254 Wow you are right. That is troublesome. We are the new owners of RME and I can promise you now that I will ensure that paragraph is removed or edited. I believe that's true, however, if you find their service of value, I would encourage you to support them. You know, in the same way you might frequent a favourite local restaurant that you like.

Yes it does. Make sure you have *eLearning Reporting* enabled. I always use *SCORM 1.2* but I believe some, if not all the other formats are acceptable as well.

Good morning Paul. I am new to Captivate and trying to set up my first client review. When I go to upload my Captivate Zip file, I get the following message "We couldn't find an imsmanifest.xml file in the zip. Is it a SCORM package?" How do I fix this? Thank you in advance!

Mostly because Captivate developers don't take the time to optimize their media files before importing them into Captivate. Most of my Captivate projects are published out to be anywhere from 40-50 MB for a typical 30 minute course.
