I think working closely with Floyd is a smart thing. The Mayweathers have seen all the game in this business. Remember when Pacquiao was juicing and going up 8 weights and knocking out everybody and people did nothing. Floyd knew and stopped that shhhh. Then Maidana tried to pull a slick move on the gloves that Fury pulled on on Wilder and again, they came unstuck. Then the ref was letting Judah hit Floyd low and behind the head and nearly caused a riot, the same shhhh again thatnthe ref let Fury do to Wilder and Wilder’s corner just stood there and watched their fighter get mauled, with the ref’s blessing. There’s all kinds of BS in this sport. Stuff like that can win or lose you a fight. But most people, even fighters have no clue. Or only know some of the BS. Wilders biggest problem is he takes no advice from anybody and thinks his right hand will get him out of everything. Then he come up against a 300 pound juiced up monster with no padding in the gloves and a shady ref. Then look what happened. If Wilder had spoken with other African Americans who’ve been on the game long and know the dirty side of things he’d have stopped all that before it’s even started and he’d still be unbeaten. It’s called being smart. Floyd didn’t stay unbeaten on talent in the ring alone. It’s also street smarts that kept him ahead of the game.
