Hal P., a pilot and champion aircraft designer, and his son Gary, continue to share their passion for radio control aircraft at Artis.
For as long as he can remember, Hal has been fascinated with the idea of flying. After his discharge from the Army in 1946, Hal began building and flying model aircrafts and started competing in National Championships winning 18 times.
We are committed to helping people living with dementia achieve the essential human need for purpose, belonging and joy by building a bridge between their lifelong identity and present daily life. By honoring and celebrating the full spectrum of their life story in a way that works today, we empower our residents to retain their personal identity and live more independently.
