Thanks a lot, I got my phone fixed thanks to this! I bought a display with frame and had to take everything off the old screen/frame and put it on the new one. Which isn't shown in this video, but easy enough to figure out by yourself. Just take a lot of time and keep a keen eye to not overlook anything, like the vibration motor and the proximity sensor. Be careful putting back the top plate with the front camera as it's hanging loose on a wire and needs to be set in it's slot. If any of you need advice then send me a message :)

@@Basharnl My a2 Lite never cracked before, untill one day it slammed into stone floor and it cracked the screen, I got a replacement and the replacement screen which I was told was a "orginal screen" cracked on sides, replaced again cracked+ got veritcal lines all over... any ideas what happend? I mean it was very strong before and my dad says that im not carefull etc but as i said it never cracked before... and the new screen got cracked when loose in my packet after 2 days!
@@siientsinger6637 haven't bought a flagship since lg g3 2014 i think. if you smash obe of these cheap phones its still cheaper to buy another. Ended up using a touch of super glue lol to keep screen down but look like new.
I just completely destroyed the my phone. I didn't think I'm that clumsy, but I did it. Removing the old screen and replacing it back is an absolute nightmare as it is desperately cumbrous to get/fit back. Also, I think it's worth pointing out at the beginning of the video to only start this work if/when good tools are at hand and where exactly to get the tools from. The screws are desperately small and without good tweezers/screwdrivers it's unlikely to work. Where to get glue from etc.?

@@bambamhakkai orderder The One with no frame and totally ruined the phone, probably because i put too much glue. Now when i turn It on It becomes way too hot in just a couple Seconds and i have to detatch the battery
@@4lchEmi that's not because of glue. You probably bent the battery when disassembling, it is common mistake. And it is independent on whether to replace with frame or no, you will be dealing with battery in any case. You should just replace battery and everything will work as normal
When removing the battery, there are 2 sticker parts that should be removed that will help remove the glue holding the battery. Other than that, this video was very helpful.

Hello, my Xiaomi has waterdamage. After that I forgot to turn the phone off and then the screen went black but I could still hear the phonenoises. Later I successfully turned it off and after watching an other video I started opening the phone. I managed to do the first step, removing the upper part, but then it fell out of my hands and the cuppercoloured wire of the touchid broke completely in the middle of the wire. Question: by removing this wire will the phone still work? Thanks Karen

Did replace it one now the display breaks again ordered it again. Costs with tools, Frame (no need of a heatgun) and shipping to middle Europe about 23€ from Aliexpress,... The only negative thing is the shipping needs a whole month ...

Hi Christian, Every glue is bound to stop wprking against either isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Try to use that specific alcohol, and if it doesn't work, then very very carefully insert some acetone on the glue. Alcohol should do the work though.

do not try this unless you have all the tools needed. i tried using a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol to unstick the battery from the glue, it melted the plastic rub around the battery, pierced it and it smoked :) now i need a battery as well!

Stop with the transitions. It's so much harder to follow when you constantly reorient the phone between transitions. Just have one shot and move the phone around in the same shot. Second, you didn't show pulling the pull tabs on the battery. I'm new to phone repair, and that's a pretty critical step. So instead, I ruined my phone trying to get the battery out without pulling the pull tabs. Terrible guide. Literally just cost me my phone. Thanks.

Hey what kind of glue did you use to fixate the new screen? Did you use any chemical to dissolve the old glue like they do at 2:50?
