Mom of 3 here, although my third is 6 weeks younger than Jackson, and it sounds like maybe he’s ready to sleep in his own room. My second was like this and he slept so much better once he moved to his crib. The first week will be tough, but probably more tough for you than it is for him. You just gotta leave him alone and he’ll figure out how to soothe himself.
Great point. I did the same with both my girls, they were such big babies at birth. Too big for bassinets so I moved them to the crib. Enjoy that new baby. As you know they grow so fast. My babies are 28 and 23😭😭😭
He’s probably stomping his feet for sensory input and to soothe himself. Agreed that it’s nothing to worry about. A lot of babies bang their heads, so it could be worse!
Agree, my son is now 8 months my husband & I started at 3 1/2 months he cried only two nights ( for about 5 mins or so) , and hasn’t slept in co-sleeper since plus he sleeps over night .
I think Tim and Jen seem open to advice. They are good parents and will figure out what works for them. Sometimes you don’t realize what you should’ve done differently until much later! I definitely realized how much I blew it when I had my second!
Jackson is a big boy. He will sleep better in his crib. He needs the space to learn how to get comfortable and be able to move around and put himself to sleep.Doesn't need to be swaddled.Babies adapt better than us parents do. I know it's hard but he will be okay.
Yeah my niece we always put her in a crib then her own bed and she has slept by herself. Now her step brother her mom keeps him in the bed and he is 4 and still sleeping with them
In fact u do it from day one as a newborn baby its easier when they are a newborn baby to put themselves to sleep, I also hear people saying my baby sleeps for 12 hours straight at 8 weeks old which is total BS b/c babies need a feed or two in the middle of the night, (no one stays asleep all night, I wake up when I move in bed) most of us wake up in the middle of the night we learnt how to put ourselves back to sleep, a baby needs to teach themselves how to go to sleep from day one.
A dietician told me that it takes 20 times for them to know if they actually like a food or not, so the next time he might enjoy carrots or be indifferent :) She also recommended letting them have choice during meals by providing 2-3 food items. They’ll often go back to the food they aren’t enjoying as much after exploring the other food. Hope you’re having fun baby led weaning, it can be so stressful but so amazing 🥰
Ok guys, I'm a mom and Mimi with two granddaughters. It's time for Jackson to move to his own room in his big boy crib. Just lay him down and let him fuss himself to sleep. In no time he will be going to sleep on his own. You guys can do it.
I was a preschool teacher for 3 years (would sub teach in the infant room) and currently a social worker (also babysat A LOT) and at 3 months I would put infants in their cribs and they self-soothe themselves to sleep. Yes sometimes they cry but it only lasts 5-10 minutes. Just put Jackson in a crib in his own room and he will learn to self-soothe to sleep
Jen your eyes are so pretty and your makeup looked amazing! I like the necklace the Disney double dose gave you😍 they are so sweet and down to earth! I enjoy watching their videos as much as I do y’all’s😍
I know you are cherishing every moment with Jackson! Getting to communicate with him will be so amazing though, as sad as it is that he is aging. You get to enjoy him for like 70 more years! Love y’all
When he gets in a crib, you should also let him chill in it a while. After he woke up, my son stayed in his crib for at least an hour. He played with some toys, and just kinda chilled. Running in the second he wakes up will bite you in the keister.
I did baby led weaning with both of my girls. I joined a baby led weaning group on Facebook and got a ton of great advice on there. One of the most important things about baby led weaning is that you feed baby what you are eating during your mealtimes. This gives him an example of how to eat. We did a lot of pasta with them when we were first starting out. Scrambled eggs were also a big hit with them. The main key is to cut everything in pieces big enough that they can grab it and work on their pincer grasp but in non throat sized shapes. So if you’re doing round things like grapes, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, etc you want to quarter them. With longer stuff like hot dogs or anything like that they should be quartered and cut finger length and not in small pieces because the smaller pieces are harder to grab and easier to get stuck in their throat. I loved doing baby led weaning with my girls because it meant that I got to actually eat while my food was hot rather than worrying about feeding the baby then finally eating my food cold. It was so nice to be able to cook just one thing and give them some and just keeping an eye on them!
He may sleep better if he had more room...he sounds like he is ready for his crib. You also have to let babies self-soothe....just don’t go in right away when he wakes up. Give him 10 min to allow him to go back to sleep on his own. After 10 minutes if he doesn’t go back to sleep, then go get him. That’s what I did when my sons were little. I hope these tips help 💕👍🏼
For bath time.. when my son was around Jacksons age, I used the flower bath that you have for the sink.. but put into a laundry basket and had him in the shower with me so we could bathe together 🙂 just an idea!
Gosh I love watching you! ... it’s been amazing seeing Jackson grow and I’m looking forward to watching him in the future. Your brilliant parents, very attentive and supportive of each other. So lovely to see ... take care all of you xx
The other issue with your banana bread was that you overcooked it. Banana bread is not like cake where a toothpick needs to come out clean, it should have some crumb/very slight wetness.
I don't want to sound like a know it all, but that baby is too big for a bassinet. He's waking himself up because he has no room to move. Time for the crib. You will all sleep better.
Jackson is so cute. They do grow up so fast. I cant believe my "baby" is graduating high school this year. Enjoy every moment with him and every milestone.
@tessminime I was thinking the same thing! Try to keep him up throughout the day so they can put him on a night sleep schedule and he will stay asleep longer.
sure loved his face with the carrots in his mouth lol priceless. Jackson is growing up so fast and just about to get real fun for you guys. boy first starting move on there own gets so fun lol
Wow sitting up already, clever big boy. Don’t think he’s impressed with the carrots at the moment but that can change. Thank you for sharing Jackson’s journey with us, it’s a true pleasure and brightens up my day. Your positivity and honesty is so heartwarming. When you’re with your soulmate it’s wonderful isn’t it. Much love to you all, stay safe and well xxx
Just a suggestion; what about transitioning him away from the swaddle and moving him to his own room. Either of those are big transitions, but may have a huge impact on him for the better.
Depending on how many naps Jackson gets daily and what times, could be contributing to him being up at all hours of the night . I just love watching him, he's gotten sooo big and he's just a happy baby...
I hate to say it....but it sounds like Jackson is ready for his own bed in his own room. All three of our kids were between 5 & 6 months old when they were ready. It’s hard, but I promise it is so worth it!! ❤️
I can’t wait to see that strawberry shortcake! I also have a great recipe if that one doesn’t pan out. That Jackson is such a cutie, those cheeks gahhhhh!!!
Time for the crib. No pillow, no blanket, no toys or plushes. He might scream up a fuss but it's good for his lungs. But please remember, every baby is different, every parent is different, y'all do what works for your family. You both are great parents. If y'all are good, babe' will be good. God Bless.
I have a daughter who just turned 3, those first few months and on are just a guessing game and figuring out your baby, there is no right or wrong when trying things, I know you guys get so many suggestions, but at the end of the day you know him and will figure out what works for you and him! You both are such amazing parents!!!!
Hi Tim & Jenn! Jackson is so adorable. Before you know it, he will be getting into your kitchen cabinets and banging on your pots and pans☺ Are you guys going to the Disney Store now that they are opened ?
My 2 were in their own rooms at 4 weeks old. Best thing I ever did. We both started to sleep so much better. Give it a go nd stay strong. Jackson is such a clever boy nd such a cutie xxxxxx.
I have a necklace with my Boo's footprint on it... it's such a wonderful thing to have! This way he can be with me always, not just in memory but a part of him with me all the time! Your Bandit necklace is lovely!
Can't believe it's been over a year since you found out you guys were pregnant, to Jackson being born, and now Jackson being 6 months old. Unbelievable how time flies. It was cool he was able to go to the magic kingdom and meet Mickey before this quarantine. A true miracle.
He may be more comfortable in his baby bed since he is so big. Also if he isn’t crying I would just let him lay there. I finally had to get with my boys if I knew they were okay even if they cried for a few minutes I would leave them alone and they would fall back to sleep. Y’all are doing great!
Oh my goodness, that’s so freaky we also are having pork and German potato salad tonight, it is one of my all time favourite meals especially the salad, you two are the best parents and I absolutely love the daily videos, you are what is getting me through quarantine, thank you 😂❤️
Although I wish quarantine hadn’t had to happen I feel we wouldn’t have seen so many of Jackson’s milestones without it. Loved watching him grow these past few months 😍
First, you are both remarkable parents and Jackson is a love. Jenn, would you ever consider, on your channel maybe, doing a “how I edit” vlog? I’d love to see how you do such an incredible job.
Dont worry about any negative comments! Baby Led Weaning is super great! It's healthier, as you KNOW what you're feeding your child and it really helps them grasp the concept of eating so well.. Good job guys!!!
Hey - the turns at sleep deprivation, and being awake is called being good parents, and great partners!! Poor Jackson - hope he gets his groove back soon! Tim "Ugh, Sally". ROTFL!!!!!! I hear you, Tim, with all sorts of things - something will be perfect, except for "that ONE thing" for me too! Ugh!!! Getting the pickle (yes - refrigerator pickles!) recipe from your own vlog is GENIUS!!! LOVE it! :) Jose Andres is a magnificent human being - he is always SO involved in all kinds of humanitarian relief, like you said. He also encourages other chefs/food/restaurant industry to become involved also. Yay, sitting up Jackson!!!!! :) :) Thank you SO much for sharing his life, and milestones with us - always makes my face, and my heart - smile SO big! :) He did look so "cool dude" with his shades on! :) That German dinner looked SOOOOOO good, make me miss the Biergarten! When I was a kid, my friend's Mom made warm German potato salad with the vinegar and bacon in it - her hubby was from Germany, and taught her - it was SOOOOOOO good, I have never found anything close to it ever again! Thinking of it now., drooling!!! Sweet necklace, have seen them advertised. Socially distanced hugs to both of you, and Jackson. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!!
lol! Tim checking out his teeth and amused😂 that's quarantine baby! LOL ...and sleep deprivation! constant interruptions throughout the night is rough. I completely understand. And I love love seeing Jackson and his milestones! It's an amazing time and goes quickly! As for the carrots, it could be the texture of certain foods that he might not like.
I'm with you Tim; I enjoy buying things more than I should. Jackson is stinking adorable, as usual; his response to the carrot puree vs. the "solid" pieces could be the ingrained response to the spoon feeding, as opposed to the flavor itself... which would also explain why he spits out the puree after a little bit, once he's had time to process the flavor. The little goofball!
I can see that some people commented about moving him to his nursery and I agree 100%. My daughter is about a month older than him and she still stomps, but she doesn’t wake us up because her mattress on her crib is a lot softer and it doesn’t make as much noise. She only started sleeping through the night once we moved her. Also he may cry a bit in between cycles, so don’t go right away to help him, wait a couple of mins and let him try to comfort himself. Another idea, consider giving him a very small lovey so he can rub it on his face and comfort him! All of these things helped us, but please do what works for you guys! Much love ❤️
Hi Tim, Jenn, and Jackson, your vlogs have been making my days so much better! I appreciate everything you do! I can’t believe Jackson is already sitting up all on his own he’s growing up way to fast but he’s so cute! Love the home vlogs they are so fun and entertaining to watch! Hope you all have a good!! 😊❤️
I agree with comments on he may need the crib now. If you are worried about being away from him temporarily put the crib next to your bed until he gets used to it or in my case when I weened from breastfeeding. Worked fab with mine!
Just my humble opinion. With my firstborn, I did the same thing. Every time he woke, I would come to the rescue whether it was for food or for soothing. I thought I was doing the best thing. I did this until he was 9 or 10 months and my (experienced) baby sitter told me that I had to let him figure out how to soothe himself back to sleep. Some parents do this and some don't. You have to read up on it or continue losing sleep.
What a beautiful gift ! Bandit is missed! I really enjoyed this vlog. Jackson will be wAlking in no time. God I can’t believe his going to be 6 month. God time flys.
I miss my kids as babies but definitely don't miss the sleep training it's so hard! It will work out eventually. Hang in there you're doing great sweaty!
You're awesome parents, but don't forget to let him self smooth sometimes. Also he needs to learn how to play alone. He doesnt always need your attention while he is awake. 😉
I agree I had the privilege of being home with both of my kids as babies. We always made time for them to lay on their play mat and entertain themselves. Even when their dad was home in the evenings he tried to not entertain them all evening. It helps them be able to play alone as they grow up too. As mom's and dads can't always play with them when they want us too, even though we reallywant to play too.
@@jennifernierodzik I agree! It's part of child development for them to learn to play by themselves. It stimulates their imagination and thinking process. It's so tempting to want to help them do everything (including getting back to sleep), but for your own sanity, they need to learn to do it by themselves. There are times they need a cuddle, but for the most part they can do it alone 😊
What a fun home vlog. Jackson changes everyday. Such a cutie pie. I have not watched Saying good-bye to Bandit yet. 😥 I love the necklace. What a nice gift. Continue 2 b safe, healthy & hopeful. 💕🙏
Good luck with sleep training! Whatever and however you guys decide to do it is the right thing for you and your family. :) also those long munchkin spoons you were using to feed him carrots are THE BEST KID SPOONS EVA ! What a big boy!
Okay can we just talk about how adorable Jackson's little hand/knuckle dimples are! Soooo cute! One of my favorite baby things haha. He was the coolest dude with his sunglasses😎. And yes it is INSANE how fast they grow and change. It's such a bittersweet thing to watch your child grow. I mean you of course want them to grow and flourish but there's that little ache in your heart the further and further away they are from being a baby, then toddler, then young child, preteen, teen and then adult... 😭 Haha... I'm such a sap but my son is 16 and I'm in awe of him and the thoughtful, funny, good natured young man he is but I do miss those baby days. Hang on tight to these awesome moments and milestones with Jackson. You guys are awesome parents. Huge hugs and love to you all xoxo ❤️

I agree, we had a smaller bassinet and my daughter was ready for her crib pretty fast. She slept so much better in the crib

I agree! Our baby was waking herself up hitting the edges of the bassinet. Once we moved her to her crib she slept so much better.
Jackson just puts a smile on my face ☺️ He’s adorable. Can’t wait to see him back at Disney one day.
A dietician told me that it takes 20 times for them to know if they actually like a food or not, so the next time he might enjoy carrots or be indifferent :) She also recommended letting them have choice during meals by providing 2-3 food items. I love watching Jackson grow and learn new things. Jenn you will love every phase he goes through. Each one is special in its own way.
My baby is 7 months. We found he slept better in his own room. Also the feet stomps are normal. Baby is getting comfy. Leave him to it.
Ok guys, I'm a mom and Mimi with two granddaughters. It's time for Jackson to move to his own room in his big boy crib. Just lay him down and let him fuss himself to sleep. In no time he will be going to sleep on his own. You guys can do it.
Heads up guys! If Jackson can roll over you need to move him to his crib so he doesn't fall out of the Snu you were talking about.
I was a preschool teacher for 3 years (would sub teach in the infant room) and currently a social worker (also babysat A LOT) and at 3 months I would put infants in their cribs and they self-soothe themselves to sleep. Y’all are so awesome reading the comments and trying new things! You are such great parents.
Baby Jackson will soon be toddler Jackson and it is so amazing to see how he grows up😊
I so hope they dress him up like Jack Jack (Incredibles) for Halloween
Yeesss so true!❤
Jen your eyes are so pretty and your makeup looked amazing! I like the necklace the Disney double dose gave you😍 they are so sweet and down to earth! I enjoy watching their videos as much as I do y’all’s😍
I know you are cherishing every moment with Jackson! Getting to communicate with him will be so amazing though, as sad as it is that he is aging. You get to enjoy him for like 70 more years! Love y’all
That necklace is so beautiful. Such a thoughtful and loving gift ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Super Jackson! Sitting up, stopping from falling, & Muscles! He is So Entertaining & hopefully it's helping your Heart Heal. Love You BOTH!
Jackson is getting SO big!!! He is SO cute! In my opinion the cutest baby on the Internet! Love you Trackers! 💖💕💕
Tim checking out his teeth on camera, that’s quarantine baby.😂👍🏻
I just wanted to drop in and say you’re doing great!! You got this!
He looks SO much like Tim in this video!! IDK why but he really does wow!
My baby wouldn’t sleep. He was in my room. I put him in his bed and he slept all night. He was 5 months old. Try him in his own crib.
Agree, and he might need more room.
Agreed! My 8 month old stopped sleeping well in his bassinet at 4 months.
Same here!! Our pediatrician said we were waking each other up all night long!
Mom of 2... it sounds like he may be ready for no more swaddling and his own crib. They grow up so quick!
Can't believe Jackson is sitting up! And patting Dads hands! 😍
I can’t deal with how adorable Jackson is, I just can’t even
The other issue with your banana bread was that you overcooked it. Banana bread is not like cake where a toothpick needs to come out clean, it should have some crumb/very slight wetness.
My mom just brought over amazing chocolate chip banana muffins. They were super wet. I must concure.
I also think their oven isnt calibrated correctly.
Enjoy the time with the little one. The days are long but the years are short my friend! Enjoy 😊 them
I don't want to sound like a know it all, but that baby is too big for a bassinet. He's waking himself up because he has no room to move. Time for the crib. You will all sleep better.
I was thinking same thing.
Is he still in your room? Sounds like he’s ready to go sleep in his room and needs to sooth himself! It’s hard but it’s time 😉
Jackson is so cute. They do grow up so fast. I cant believe my "baby" is graduating high school this year. Enjoy every moment with him and every milestone.
Jackson is so adorable! They grow so much in those first 2 years!
Love seeing all the progress Jackson is making! That potato salad looked amazing!! I’ll have to try it some time.
I think I smiled and/or laughed through this whole video. Thank you for bringing so much joy to the world.
Jackson in sunglasses is too cute. I view that will be his cartoon for your Tim tracker logo
Cut his day time sleep down might help with Jackson’s sleep at night xxx
@tessminime I was thinking the same thing! Try to keep him up throughout the day so they can put him on a night sleep schedule and he will stay asleep longer.
sure loved his face with the carrots in his mouth lol priceless. Jackson is growing up so fast and just about to get real fun for you guys. boy first starting move on there own gets so fun lol
That necklace is perfect, so sweet of them. Jackson is so big and sitting up. Happy almost 6th month to you buddy. 👪
He is ready to be in his own room!
My Gosh, Jen is glowing, Jackson is so cute and Tim, you’re awsome
Jen, you can buy necklace layering tools that you hook the individual necklaces to and then they hang perfectly!
Thank you for sharing Jackson in your videos. He is a beautiful baby, and we love watching him grow!
I love seeing your vlogs. I have bad anxiety and you guys make me happy.
Jackson’s reaction to the whole steamed carrots is probably due to the texture and not the taste of them.
Oh, it's the taste. Euww. 😊
The texture was my thought as well.
Time for the crib. No pillow, no blanket, no toys or plushes. He might scream up a fuss but it's good for his lungs. But please remember, every baby is different, every parent is different, y'all do what works for your family. You both are great parents. If y'all are good, babe' will be good. God Bless.
Yay, for sitting up. Jack jack! What a milestone.
Yay! Home Vlog! Hope you guys are doing well in quarantine, I love watching home vlogs during these times! 🌟💕
I love Jackson’s face when he’s trying new foods! So cute! ❤️
It could be a texture thing if he likes them when they're pureed. As you said, they're stringy, so he might not like that
I have a daughter who just turned 3, those first few months and on are just a guessing game and figuring out your baby, there is no right or wrong when trying things, I know you guys get so many suggestions, but at the end of the day you know him and will figure out what works for you and him! You both are such amazing parents!!!!
Move him to his own room. All of my 3 boys transitioned to their own rooms at 2 months and they were sleeping through the night around 4 months.
Same here with my girls.
Oh God Bless that little sweetie getting so big. You guys are awesome parents.
Jackson and I have the same sunglasses! lol What a cool little guy! He is growing up so fast!
Babies do grow so fast. Enjoy all the firsts with him! Can't wait to see tomorrow's video with the strawberry shortcake.
how can Jenn make a vibrato so easily?? she is a natural singer
Can't believe it's been over a year since you found out you guys were pregnant, to Jackson being born, and now Jackson being 6 months old. Unbelievable how time flies. It was cool he was able to go to the magic kingdom and meet Mickey before this quarantine. A true miracle.
We enjoy watching you guys SO much! Thank you for sharing your life with us!
He may be more comfortable in his baby bed since he is so big. Also if he isn’t crying I would just let him lay there. I finally had to get with my boys if I knew they were okay even if they cried for a few minutes I would leave them alone and they would fall back to sleep. Y’all are doing great!
It’s definitely scary how quick time flies - my eldest is now 19 yrs and doesn’t seem that long since he was like Jackson! X
I so agree with you. Time moves too fast. My son is graduating high school this year.
Oh my goodness, that’s so freaky we also are having pork and German potato salad tonight, it is one of my all time favourite meals especially the salad, you two are the best parents and I absolutely love the daily videos, you are what is getting me through quarantine, thank you 😂❤️
I lived in Germany for 5 years, so that food just made me crave schnitzel!! 😁
I never knew Tim had Pua on his foot. I love it!
Oh my Hilarious at the start “I’ve never seen my teeth like that”. I was rollin!
Wow look at Jackson!! He is getting so big! You guys are amazing parents ❤️
Thank you! :-) We can't believe how fast he's growing, it's all happening so fast!
Dont worry about any negative comments! Baby Led Weaning is super great! It's healthier, as you KNOW what you're feeding your child and it really helps them grasp the concept of eating so well.. Good job guys!!!
Can’t believe Jackson can sit up now! What a big milestone! He’s so adorable☺️Thanks for such a happy vlog!! So much appreciated🤗
Not to worry Jen! Every age brings more to love. Enjoy the moment.
Jackson is so hansom. I enjoy looking at the video. I remember when my grand kids were little like that. i miss that. thanks for sharing.
Hi Trackers! The parks are opening! Woot!
Might be time for a big boy crib. You guys are great parents and I love your videos. It has been so much fun to watch Jackson grow.
That was amazing! Literally LOL’d at 18:08 😂😂😂 .... you’re doin’ great Jackson 😆
Jackson!!! Can’t get enough!
Loved that podcast guys, I can’t wait to see Jenns new video
I miss my kids as babies but definitely don't miss the sleep training it's so hard! It will work out eventually. Hang in there you're doing great sweaty!
Hi just a tip, why don't you get a bath seat so then he can splash around in the bath and explore the water. Love you guys xxx
Jen your meals always look amazing!
I let my girls play alone and their imaginations now is phenomenal! It’s so entertaining watching them play now.
'Oh no his wide wake' now that was funny and it brought back memories of when my children were baby's, I know that feeling.
I enjoy watching all your videos and these kind definitely hit me in the heart! Love you guys!😉
Love you guys! Thanks for sharing your lives with us! Can’t wait to get some theme park videos soon!
