I'm glad the you got Butch to mention his love and proficiency at golf. Great guy who was a hero to me as a young boy growing up in Massachusetts. In the 1960's and early 70's Super Stock and Pro Stock was huge and those classes remain my favorite in NHRA Drag Racing. Was so cool seeing Ronnie Sox, Bill Jenkins, Butch Leal and Dyno Don Nicholson at Wednesday night match races at New England Dragway during that period. Watching the gold dust procedure on the start line with their dry hops was captivating. Those shows remain some of the best I've seen in my 65 years as a drag racing fan. Appreciate your interview with this living legend.
Your MCACN interviews are top-notch! Your interview style is great. These legends really know how to tell a story. My dad had a subscription to Popular Hot Rodding when I was about 6 years old. I remember seeing Butch's Duster doing a wheelstand on one of the pin-up pages. The California Flash name really struck me as cool. Now, all of these the years later I have a Hemi Duster of my own. Keep up the good work. Your content rocks!
Hello Darren, well I’m glad you’re enjoying them cause I enjoy getting them. Let me tell you. I set a new light on muscle car and Corvette nationals this year. I’m a big drag racing guys. These are their heroes NHRA and drag racing a true living legend California flash 😎🤘
