First of all: I love your voice! It's very soft and soothing. You also explain your building process really well and your video is going at a good pace and seems well-edited to me. The build is very creative and I actually think your "awkward floorplan" suits the idea of this being a spellcaster hub. A tip for your waterfall problem: Go down to the first basement level with the grid on, but without building a room, then raise the waterfall up from down there. It will have outside lighting, but not interfere with anything on the ground level. That's how I always do it. If you use the T.O.O.L. mod, it's even easier to manipulate the object you raised up afterwards.
