➡ Check out my New Tool that makes learning Photoshop Elements Super Easy! Here is my video about it on my HTG Photo channel ruclips.net/video/-cJ2AviZNI8/видео.html
Thanks, George, for another very educational video which goes beyond the immediate project and teaches techniques that are applicable generally. I tried to follow a complicated tutorial by someone else who did a similar project, and I came away confused because he didn't explain the why of what he was doing. I could reproduce what he had on screen, but I learned almost nothing that was transferrable to other projects. I always learn useful techniques from your videos. Thank you.
That was awesome and easy..speaking of text, i'm a little bored with the elements text styles, they all seem the same to me. Is there someplace to buy new funky fun ones and download them to elements?
Hi Bonnie, my favorite site for free fonts is dafont.com. There are instructions on the site for installing the fonts onto your computer. Make sure that Elements is not running when you install the fonts, it will then add those new fonts to its font list the next time it opens
Does it matter that when I start a new file it doesn't provide a "background layer" in white? I should probably set it up to start off this way but I could use some help to change that setting. If it doesn't matter than that's ok too :D Thank you!
HI Shari, doesn't matter, it is just convenient to have the background as white. You can set that when you make a new file, it is one of the options in the dialog box where you set the size of the new file.
To be honest I haven't played around with Photoshop Express yet, I have it available, just haven't looked at it. But, great idea. I will start doing some videos for it over on my new photo channel www.youtube.com/@HTGPhoto. Plus I have moved all of my new photo related videos over there already. Only my old stuff is still here on this channel, which is becoming gaming only. So check out my new second channel and I will get a Photoshop Express video up there real soon.
Got as far as 'bevels' about 3/4 way through then my brain refused to cooperate. Will keep those next morsels for later...got to go now and rest my eyes but have learned some thank you.

Many thanks Robert! That is what I always try to do, to use projects as a way to learn Photoshop Elements, not just how to do a specific trick
At 1:58 "above the 'background copy' layer"
The background copy layer in white is there just to make it easy to adjust the type. Once the type is set that white layer can be removed
Also, when you click on that background copy layer with the type tool it puts a new text layer above that layer.
