Toyota does the 911 approach by offering a Tacoma for every buyer and budget. Very interesting. If I need a truck, this is top of the list.

If you fit, its a fine buy. I dont fit. Prior generations were not made for my legs. It was always very uncomfortable and thats from the passenger seat, Paul’s position in the beginning of the video. After a 5 min ride, my legs hurt in the Tacoma.

My very first vehicle i bought when I was 16 years old in 1980 was a used 1977 Toyota SR5 truck with a 20R 4 cylinder engine. I loved modifying it with lift kit, big tires, roll bar, step bars all of which I welded and installed myself in high school auto shop class. Trucks sure have improved since then! The new tech in this truck looks fun and functional.
I like your reviews on trucks because you're not avid truck enthusiasts which means your reviews are good for all people both truck enthusiasts and people who might be buying a truck for their first time. And you both had a smile on your faces while off roading and that's what truck driving is all about! Cheers!

So glad that the suspension matches the trim and use; Limited tuned for good road handling and TRD for off-roading.

I have zero use for a truck but I am glad this is still available for those that need/want one. I'm glad the ergonomics have been improved. I've driven the 4Runner/Tacoma a few times and was uncomfortable in both.

Had a 20 TRD off road with a Manual. It was such a fun truck but it’s con was it gutless engine. I’m happy to see the 4 banger since it fixes this issue. I wouldn’t be concerned with reliability, I’ve yet seen an unreliable Toyota 4 banger.

Is that burgundy going to be an available color? I don't see it on any list but it looks awesome.

Having just bought a 23' Tacoma six months ago I definitely don't feel the need to upgrade. However, it is reassuring that the new one seems to be great despite Toyota getting rid of the old power train. Maybe once mine is ready for its first oil change at 80k miles I'll test drive one.

My question which Toyota hasn't seemed to answer is - How much boost is this using to make +270 HP? I know the Colorado uses 27-29 psi, which requires you to use premium fuel, which I expect the Tacoma is close to. Which also would seem to create a reliability question for me.

The Topher channel said 15psi is what he saw on the gauge

@ricepony33 but is that just during regular cruising?
Edit: Just watched his video - it looked like the digital boost gauge was pegged out when he was in higher RPMs. I couldn't see what it was displaying, though.

As much as I want to get the TRD Pro, with the Isodynamic seats in front, I'm seriously worried about rear seat leg room... especially I will need the back seat room for baby car seats, etc... it was already tight and no one really has shown how much impact to the leg room in the back the isodynamic seat is... I'm hoping there's a way to get the TRD Pro without the isodynamic seats if needed...

I saw the Toyota engineer going on about how great the turbo 4S are. You don't need a 6-cylinder you won't even miss it. These are upgraded turbos they're going to last and last. I am a believer. I believe he has a product to sell and will say whatever he needs to.

Hi, from Japan!! After hearing your review, the price for the car is cheap rather than reasonable, I think. In the film, you have talked about A.I. I worry if the A.I. takes fun off from our car driving.

Nice truck but am not feeling the quality/look of the pre-production materials!,it looks cheap(quality wise). hopefully the production versions will be improved.

Too bad the TRD PreRunner still gets the leafs. Oh yeah it only has two doors and RWD yet costs more than a 2023 TRD Off Road.

Why the maximum power of manual is lower than auto is because for reinforcing the low rev torque, manual doesn't have torque converter so it needs low-speed torque more than top-end horsepower.

Only the side is ugly cause of that stupid rear door cutout.
